Ura-Acca

Ura-Acca (裏アカ, Ura Aka) is a character in Wonder Egg Priority. Alongside Acca, he guides Ai Ohto and the other protagonists through the Egg World, providing them with information and support in their missions. Unlike the more composed and formal Acca, Ura-Acca has a more laid-back demeanor and casual way of speaking. He is also more direct, occasionally expressing blunt or strong opinions, which sets him apart in both personality and tone.

Appearance in Anime

Ura-Acca appears as a mannequin with green glasses and a faint, triangular smile. His build is similar to that of an average male, though largely concealed beneath his loose-fitting clothes. He has long, messy pink hair, adding to his more casual and quirky appearance.

His outfit consists of an orange jacket with black buttons and a beige-colored inner lining. Underneath, he wears a green shirt featuring a playful design, a Pac-Man-like figure wearing a red hat. He pairs this with blue trousers held up by a black belt and wears spindle-colored sneakers. A distinctive feature of his look is his cane, which has a white top, green bottom, and is decorated with several other colorful details, complementing his eccentric style.

Personality

Ura-Acca, much like his counterpart Acca, operates within morally ambiguous territory. However, his behavior is notably more relaxed and informal. He comes across as carefree and less protective of the protagonists, often allowing events to unfold without interference. His speech and gestures are casual, standing in clear contrast to Acca’s polite and composed manner.

Despite his laid-back attitude, Ura-Acca is remarkably straightforward. He tends to speak honestly, preferring to confront difficult truths rather than avoid or obscure them, an approach that differs from Acca’s more cautious way of handling sensitive topics.

Background

Ura-Acca, together with Acca, was one of the original founders of Japan Plati, a research organization involved in advanced scientific development. Both were once ordinary human scientists, but after a series of tragic events, they made the decision to abandon their physical bodies. Instead, they uploaded their consciousnesses into mannequin-like forms that exist exclusively within the Egg World. This transformation allowed them to continue overseeing the Wonder Egg system and guiding the girls through their missions, despite no longer being part of the physical world.

Abilities

Ura-Acca possesses the same abilities as Acca, enabling him to communicate with the protagonists through various objects both in the Egg World and in reality. He can project his voice from non-living items, such as speakers or other unexpected mediums, to offer guidance or commentary. Additionally, Ura-Acca has demonstrated the ability to remotely activate electronic devices, such as turning on an arcade machine upon the girls’ request, highlighting his control over the environment within the Egg World.

Etymology

Ura-Acca’s name is written using a combination of kanji and katakana. The kanji 裏 (ura) means “reverse,” “opposite side,” or “back,” while アカ (Aka) is the katakana rendering of 赤 (aka), which means “red.” Together, his name can be interpreted as “Reverse Acca,” symbolizing his contrasting nature and role alongside Acca in the series.
