Tanukichi is the son of Zenjuro Okuma, a legendary criminal who was imprisoned for opposing Japan’s strict moral laws regarding obscene language and behavior. Due to his father’s notorious reputation, Tanukichi grew up facing public scorn and discrimination, leading him to distance himself from his father’s beliefs. Instead of embracing his father’s ideology, Tanukichi vowed to become a model citizen, aspiring to be as pure and righteous as his childhood crush, Anna Nishikinomiya.

In pursuit of this goal, Tanukichi enrolled at Tokioka Academy, a prestigious school known for its strict moral code and elite students. However, his dreams of a peaceful and respectable school life were shattered when he crossed paths with Ayame Kajou, the infamous “Blue Snow”, who immediately blackmailed him into joining SOX. From that moment on, Tanukichi became embroiled in a world of rebellion, obscene jokes, and chaotic antics, all while struggling to reconcile his old ideals with his new reality.

Tanukichi has short, dark brown hair and brown eyes, giving him a relatively plain and average appearance compared to the more flamboyant and eccentric members of SOX. He is typically seen wearing his school uniform, which consists of a white dress shirt, dark pants, and a school blazer, though he occasionally dons disguises or ridiculous outfits as part of SOX’s operations.

At his core, Tanukichi is kind-hearted and protective, showing genuine concern for his friends, particularly Ayame and Anna. Though he frequently clashes with Ayame’s extreme methods, he comes to respect her dedication to freedom.
