History
During the early days of the village’s formation, Kakuzu was assigned the dangerous mission of assassinating Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage. Confronted with the overwhelming power of Hashirama’s Wood Release, Kakuzu failed to complete his mission. Despite the immense danger he faced, his return was met not with understanding, but with harsh punishment and disgrace for his failure. Feeling deeply wronged after risking his life for the village, Kakuzu developed a violent hatred for Takigakure. He eventually escaped imprisonment, killing the village elders in the process, and stealing their hearts. In his escape, Kakuzu also took with him knowledge of Takigakure’s most prized forbidden techniques.
At some point, Takigakure came into possession of the tailed beast Chōmei, making it the only known village outside the Five Great Nations to hold such a powerful creature. In the anime, this accomplishment is attributed to the village’s reputation for consistently producing highly skilled jōnin.[2] Chōmei was eventually sealed within Fū, who was later captured by Kakuzu and Hidan in the anime. Following her capture, Akatsuki extracted the tailed beast from Fū, resulting in her death. In the manga, Deidara implied to Naruto Uzumaki that Fū may have been hated and neglected by her own village, with its citizens feeling relief at her capture and subsequent death. Fū was one of the first two jinchūriki to be captured by the Akatsuki.
Takigakure’s waterfall and surrounding area.
Takigakure, though not depicted in the manga, is shown in the anime as a village built around a massive tree, with a waterfall serving as one of its most defining landmarks. Despite being surrounded by four other countries, Takigakure has never been successfully invaded—a fact the villagers take great pride in. The village is also famous for its ability to produce Hero Water once every hundred years. This rare water grants anyone who drinks it a temporary boost of ten times their usual chakra level, though the strain caused by this enhanced power can often prove fatal.

Village Head’s Residence
-
In the anime, Shibuki, the head of the village, resides in a small wooden hut, that is built near some trees, which has a sign with a kanji for Taki (滝, Taki, literally meaning: Waterfall) above the entrance. The interior seems to be rather spartan, as it doesn’t contain much space or some necessary furniture, like a table or chairs, with the village leader sitting on a raised dais on the floor.
