Appearance
Suzu Kurokawa has a striking and edgy appearance that complements her cool and streetwise idol image. She has sharp, slanted gold eyes that give her a focused and confident look. Her dark grey hair is shoulder-length and styled in a deliberately messy fashion, with numerous strands sticking out to create a tousled, dynamic silhouette.
Her bangs and forelocks are uneven in thickness and placement, enhancing her effortlessly bold look. A notable feature of her hairstyle is a long, thin cowlick that curls downward, adding a subtle touch of individuality to her overall appearance.

Personality
Suzu Kurokawa is a boyish and reserved individual who initially comes across as quiet and somewhat distant. Despite her calm exterior, she is deeply passionate about dancing, often channeling her emotions into her performances with precision and intensity. Suzu is highly competitive and hard-working, constantly striving to improve herself and live up to the image of her older brother, whom she greatly admires and seeks to emulate in both style and attitude.
At the beginning of the series, Suzu tends to keep to herself and avoids emotional expression. However, as the story progresses and her relationships with others particularly Maria deepen, she gradually becomes more open, warm, and emotionally expressive, showing growth in both her personal and idol journey.
Relationships
Maria Kanamori
Maria is Suzu’s friend and fellow member of the idol unit Ring Marry. Initially, the two had difficulty getting along due to their contrasting personalities and interests Maria being bubbly and cute-focused, while Suzu was more reserved and grounded. However, after witnessing Maria’s determination and effort to make their team succeed, Suzu’s opinion changed, leading to a strong and trusting partnership.
Naru Shiawase
Naru serves as a mentor to both Suzu and Maria, offering support, guidance, and wisdom throughout their journey as idols.
Michael Kurokawa
Michael is Suzu’s eldest brother and one of her greatest inspirations. His talent and passion for dance played a major role in sparking Suzu’s own love for performing, and she looks up to him as a role model.
Yusuke Kurokawa
Yusuke is Suzu’s older brother. Although she initially felt disappointed when he gave up dancing to pursue cooking, she later came to understand and respect his decision, recognizing that cooking was where he could truly shine.
Mel Shido
Suzu is both impressed by and slightly envious of Mel’s natural ability to learn and adapt quickly. Despite this initial tension, the two develop a mutual respect for each other’s strengths and form a positive relationship.
Rabbily
Suzu and Maria first encountered Rabbily upon returning from Broadway. After hearing her story and being unable to reunite her with her original master, the two girls decided to adopt Rabbily as their mascot, forming a strong and affectionate bond with her.
Etymology
The surname Kurokawa (黒川) is composed of the kanji 黒 (kuro), meaning “black,” and 川 (kawa), meaning “river.” Together, the name means “black river,” with the “kuro” element referencing Suzu’s dark-colored hair, in line with the naming patterns used for other characters in the series.
Her given name, Suzu (すず), is written in hiragana, giving it flexibility in interpretation. Though it has no fixed meaning in this form, it can be associated with various kanji such as 鈴, meaning “small bell,” or 涼, meaning “cool” or “refreshing” both of which could reflect elements of Suzu’s calm and composed character.
