However, beneath this outward disdain, Sion is conscious of Will’s presence and harbors a personal grudge against him due to a past incident. His obsession with Will is so intense that he once engaged him in battle mid-competition, despite being on the same team, simply because he couldn’t stand the fact that Will never acknowledged him directly.

Over time, after witnessing Will’s true power and fighting him during the Great Magic Festival, Sion’s perspective begins to shift. Instead of mere resentment, he starts to view Will as a true rival, using their encounters as motivation to push himself and grow stronger.

Sion also has romantic feelings for Colette, though she does not reciprocate his affections. She has, however, exploited his feelings on occasion, convincing him to join their team when necessary.

Sion Ulster has red eyes and matching red hair, which is mostly slicked to the right, giving him a refined and noble appearance. His attire consists of a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt, dark-colored pants, fancy shoes, a belt, a student robe, and a bolo tie, reflecting his status as a noble mage.

His shirt and shoes are from the high-end brand store Reiser, emphasizing his wealth and elite upbringing. His overall appearance is polished and well-maintained, reinforcing his pride as a noble and his desire to stand out among his peers.

During his first year at Regarden Magical Academy, Sion experienced a “certain incident” that left a lasting impact on him. This event caused him to become highly conscious of Will Serfort, viewing him as a bitter enemy despite Will’s lack of magical ability. Since then, Sion has remained fixated on Will, treating him as an obstacle to overcome.

Sion’s animosity toward Will persisted into their sixth and final year at Regarden Magical Academy. Determined to undermine Will’s progress, Sion overheard a conversation between Workner and Will, in which Workner mentioned a Baskerville located on the sixth floor of the dungeon. Seeing an opportunity to sabotage Will’s chance to earn much-needed credits, Sion took it upon himself to hunt down the monster first, attempting to ruin Will’s advancement in the academy.

Sion Ulster is an exceptionally skilled Fire Mage, ranking among the top students at Regarden Magical Academy. He demonstrated his power early on by defeating a group of Frost Walkers simultaneously, proving his combat effectiveness. Though he initially struggled against an Evil Sentinel, he has since undergone significant growth and refinement, increasing both his magical prowess and strategic thinking. His credit count is close to the academy’s top three, further solidifying his status as a formidable mage.

As a member of the prestigious House Ulster, Sion is proficient in fire-based magic, capable of wielding low-, mid-, and high-tier fire spells. One of his most destructive techniques is Iflamme Burdelyon, a high-tier spell that creates a massive explosion of fire, capable of incinerating anything within its radius. Another powerful ability is Halcon Gardinas, which summons a fire hawk familiar that can act as an autonomous guardian while also following his commands. The hawk is capable of regeneration, provided its core remains intact, as seen when Will attempted to ground it by cutting off its wing, only for it to quickly restore itself.

For large-scale destruction, Sion utilizes Dragos Nowl, a wide-area annihilation spell that creates multiple magic circles across the battlefield, each raining down massive fire blasts. Will described this spell as one of the most devastating techniques he had encountered. In addition to his signature spells, Sion also has access to Grims Serbe, Ignis Rooks, Lansear, and Entangle, Briars of Flame, the latter of which traps enemies in burning thorns, restricting their movement while engulfing them in fire.

Beyond his fire magic, Sion is also trained in Common Magic, which includes universal spells accessible to all mages. One such ability is Search, a detection spell that enables him to sense people, creatures, or magical presences within a certain radius.

To enhance his magic, Sion wields the Halcon Wand, a powerful fire-based wand named after his flame hawk summon. It serves as a catalyst for amplifying his fire spells, allowing him to exert greater control and intensity in battle.
