Shōichirō Yukimura is a diligent and earnest individual, known for his strong work ethic and exceptional administrative skills. However, he lacks athletic ability, especially in comparison to Misaki Ayuzawa and Takumi Usui. Despite his physical limitations, he remains dedicated to his responsibilities and strives to support Misaki in any way he can.

Yukimura has a gentle and polite demeanor, often described as almost feminine, which, combined with his small stature, makes him appear delicate. He is somewhat self-conscious about his perceived weakness, expressing frustration over his inability to provide more substantial support to Misaki. Though initially intimidated by Misaki’s authoritative nature like many members of the Student Council he gradually develops a close and trusting relationship with both her and Takumi.

One of Yukimura’s more notable traits is his unintended talent for cross-dressing, a skill he reluctantly showcases when coerced into it. When dressed as a girl, his appearance is so convincing that most people fail to recognize him. Sōtarō Kanō even notes that Yukimura naturally exudes a “girlish aura.” Additionally, he harbors a mix of fear and admiration for Takumi after being unexpectedly kissed by him as a playful “reward” for his hard work.

Shōichirō Yukimura is a petite teenager with short, dark green hair and dark orange eyes. His delicate features and slender build give him a somewhat feminine and frail appearance, often drawing amusement from those around him. His small stature and gentle attitude further contribute to this impression, making him a frequent target of teasing, particularly regarding his “girlish” frame.

He typically wears the standard Seika High School uniform for boys, consisting of a grey sweater vest layered over a white dress shirt, paired with the school’s standard uniform pants. Despite his reserved nature, his appearance often leads to him being unintentionally drawn into humorous or awkward situations, particularly when he is forced into cross-dressing due to his striking resemblance to a girl.

Yukimura’s early life and background remain largely unexplored, but it is clear that he has always been a responsible and disciplined student. His commitment to student council work led him to become Vice President, where he works closely with Misaki to maintain order at Seika High.

Though he often struggles with confidence and assertiveness, he is highly respected by his peers for his organizational skills and dedication.

Sōtarō Kanō
Shōichirō Yukimura and Sōtarō Kanō develop a close friendship over the course of the series. They are frequently seen together at school and during events such as the Yumesaki Festival. Their bond is further highlighted in episodes 18 and 19, where they participate in the footman audition together.

Ten years later, Yukimura and Kanō are shown to be living together, along with Yukimura’s younger sister, Ruri. When questioned about their living arrangement by Misaki Ayuzawa, Yukimura describes Kanō as “already part of the family.” It is later revealed that the two are in a romantic relationship.

Takumi Usui
Yukimura and Takumi Usui do not share a particularly close friendship, as Misaki Ayuzawa once humorously remarked that Yukimura is “more like a pet” to Usui rather than a friend. Yukimura becomes deeply embarrassed around Takumi after Takumi unexpectedly kisses him, using the act to make Misaki feel less self-conscious after he had stolen a kiss from her. Since that incident, which occurred in Volume 1, Yukimura has remained somewhat uncomfortable around Usui.

Ruri Yukimura
Ruri is Shōichirō Yukimura’s younger sister, whom he deeply adores. He is protective of her, to the point of secretly following her when she goes on a date with Takumi Usui. However, Ruri does not view her brother as a “prince,” likely due to his delicate and feminine appearance, a fact that leaves Yukimura feeling inferior compared to Usui. Despite this, he ultimately wins back her affection when he tearfully scolds her for being stubborn, leading Ruri to reaffirm her bond with him as her older brother.
