He is also the former captain of Teikō Junior High’s basketball team, where he led the Generation of Miracles, a group of highly talented players with near-superhuman abilities. Akashi’s Emperor Eye allows him to perform devastating “ankle breaker” moves, where he predicts the precise moment his opponent will make a move and exploits it to break their balance, causing them to fall over. This move has been described as humiliating and nearly impossible to defend against.
