As an Old-Type God Eater, she is among the early generations who wield non-adaptive God Arcs, meaning she is restricted to using only gun forms rather than switching between melee and ranged weapons like later New-Type God Eaters.

During her years in the First Unit, she became one of Lindow Amamiya’s most trusted comrades, assisting in battle and supporting her team as their sniper specialist. Unlike many God Eaters who thrive in close combat, Sakuya excels at long-range precision strikes, eliminating targets from a safe distance with unparalleled accuracy.

Despite her deadly proficiency in combat, Sakuya harbors self-doubt about her abilities, particularly after certain tragedies in the field. She deeply values her comrades and is known for looking after younger members, particularly Alisa Ilinichina Amiella, who sees Sakuya as a mentor and older sister figure. By the events of God Eater 2, Sakuya has left the frontlines and transitioned into a support role, focusing on research and logistics while assisting the new generation of God Eaters.

Sakuya has long, light brown hair, usually tied back in a loose ponytail, and green eyes. She has a mature and graceful appearance, often wearing a military-style uniform with a sleeveless top and short shorts, emphasizing mobility in combat.

  Sakuya plays a critical role as Lindow Amamiya’s second-in-command, providing long-range support and tactical guidance to the First Unit. As a veteran sniper, she assists the Protagonist in learning the strategic importance of ranged combat, often offering advice on teamwork and survival tactics. One of her most defining moments in the story is her involvement in the search for Lindow after he goes missing. Devastated by his disappearance, she struggles with guilt and becomes emotionally vulnerable, but remains steadfast in her duties. She also develops a close bond with Alisa, helping the younger recruit overcome her psychological trauma after an Aragami attack. Her patience and kindness play a crucial role in Alisa’s recovery.

  By the events of God Eater 2, Sakuya has stepped back from active combat, taking on a supporting role within Fenrir’s research division. She is now married to Lindow Amamiya and focuses on providing logistical support and guidance to the next generation of God Eaters. Although she no longer fights on the frontlines, she remains an influential presence, offering strategic advice and emotional support to the new recruits. She occasionally assists in special operations, proving that she is still a deadly marksman when needed.
