Saku and his friends

Saku consistently excelled in his studies. Attending a public school, he often received praise from teachers, which unfortunately drew resentment from his classmates. His repeated commendations for top mock test scores became a source of irritation to others, but Saku remained indifferent to their coldness.

He was frequently compared to his peers, something that only deepened his frustration. For Saku, doing well was simply normal, yet it isolated him from others. Over time, this constant scrutiny and treatment caused him to grow withdrawn and quietly distant.

Things began to change when he transferred classes and met a new classmate who treated him with genuine warmth and respect. Around this friend, Saku finally felt at ease. However, a misunderstanding between them led to conflict, and their friendship fell apart. In the aftermath, Saku learned from another student about the hardships his friend had been facing. Overcome with guilt for not understanding sooner, he blamed himself and decided to start over, transferring to Chidori High School in hopes of a new beginning.
