Robin Kazami

Robin Kazami, known as Bird Kazami (風見バード, Kazami Bādo; Kazami Bird) in Japan, is the deuteragonist of the anime and manga series Beyblade X. Robin initially fought using his Strike Hawk, but it was destroyed in a battle against Takumi Ishiyama. After an encounter with Multi Nana-iro, he was given a new Beyblade, Scythe Incendio 4-60T. Following this, Robin began competing with a variety of Incendio Beys, solidifying his role as a skilled and versatile Blader.

Robin with Jaxon Cross

Robin Kazami, along with his teammates Suzaki and Tsuru, was undefeated in their hometown. Together, they formed the team Albatross, which won multiple district tournaments, solidifying their reputation as skilled Bladers.

Inspired by watching Khrome Ryugu’s match on the final floor of The X, Robin decided to pursue his dream of becoming a Pro Blader. He later traveled to Xenon City with Suzaki and Tsuru to compete at the professional level.

Robin possesses remarkable athletic prowess, with several sports teams in his hometown vying for him to join. These include basketball, football, baseball, swimming, weightlifting, and track.

Beyond his athletic abilities, Robin is highly skilled in cooking, particularly sushi making. He often prepares meals, showcasing his talent across several episodes. When making sushi, Robin enters a focused, almost transcendent state, earning praise for his culinary expertise. His “ultimate sushi” moved Taisho to tears and nearly caused Myoden to faint, leading Taisho to declare that Robin would inherit Komaba Sushi—an offer Robin politely declined.

Robin is also proficient in fighting games, demonstrating exceptional skill by defeating Quinn Manju ten times consecutively, despite Quinn’s impressive win record.

Personality

Robin is analytical, adaptable, and fiercely loyal to his friends. As a Blader, he combines strategy and intuition, often surprising opponents with his ability to quickly analyze situations and adapt his tactics mid-battle. Robin is competitive yet fair, valuing the spirit of Beyblade battles as a way to grow stronger and connect with others.

Despite his confident exterior, Robin is deeply introspective, especially after the destruction of his beloved Strike Hawk. This loss drives him to refine his skills and forge a deeper bond with his new Beys, particularly Scythe Incendio.

Appearance

Robin Kazami is an average-sized boy with striking red eyes and spiky brown hair styled to resemble bird feathers, further accentuated by a long yellow headband that holds his hair in place.

His attire features a vibrant red jacket with a yellow zipper, worn over a black tank top. He pairs this with a brown belt, black pants, and black socks. His footwear consists of red shoes with orange laces and brown soles, completing his dynamic and distinctive look.

  • Relationships

    Jaxon Cross
Jaxon Cross becomes a pivotal figure in Robin’s journey after finding him in a moment of despair, following the destruction of his Beyblade, Strike Hawk, and his abandonment by his teammates. Together, they form Team Persona to climb The X. Initially, Robin is frustrated with Jaxon’s laid-back approach to Beyblading, as it contrasts with his more serious mindset. However, over time, Robin learns to embrace Jaxon’s philosophy—that Beyblading is not solely about winning, but about having fun in the process. Despite Jaxon’s carefree demeanor, Robin develops deep confidence in Jaxon’s Xtreme Dashes and even imitates them before discovering his unique blading style.

    Multi Nana-iro
After Robin’s Strike Hawk is destroyed, Multi Nana-iro offers him a case of Beyblades to choose from. Robin selects Scythe Incendio, a Beyblade originally intended for Multi’s sister, Sigrid Nana-iro. Multi serves as a mentor to Robin, teaching him the intricacies of The X and the professional world of Pro Blading. She consistently supports Robin by crafting new Beyblades tailored to his evolving style, helping him grow as a Blader. In return, Robin is deeply grateful for her efforts and often tries to assist her whenever possible. Together, Robin and Multi frequently manage Jaxon’s carefree antics, forming a balanced dynamic within Team Persona.

    Special Moves

    Xtreme Dash:
The gears on the Beyblade’s “Bit” interact with the gears on the “X-Celerator Rail” (or “Xtreme Line”) of the Xtreme Stadium, significantly increasing the Beyblade’s speed. Robin employs several variants of this move with his Incendio Beys:

  • Mimicked and Mastered: Used by all of his Incendio Beys, signifying Robin’s adaptation of the Xtreme Dash technique.
  • Crescent Judgment: Performed by Scythe Incendio in The Best Play. Using its sickle-like blades, it delivers a powerful uppercut to the opponent.
  • Round Judgment: Executed by Hammer Incendio in The Best Play. Using its hammer-like blades, it delivers a devastating Force Smash Attack to the opponent.
  • Chain Blast:
A move exclusive to Chain Incendio, where it unleashes a rapid barrage of strikes on the opposing Beyblade. The final strike delivers a powerful uppercut, accompanied by an image of chains scattering.

    Xtreme Dash Infinite:
A more advanced version of the regular Xtreme Dash. The Beyblade repeatedly interacts with the gears on the X-Celerator Rail, continuously increasing its speed. This version is unique to Robin’s Chain Incendio, and in the manga, it is referred to with the added suffix “Imitation” to highlight Robin’s mastery of this technique.

    Hammer Smash:
Executed by Hammer Incendio, this move strikes the opponent’s Beyblade at an angle with a powerful Force Smash Attack, destabilizing the opponent and draining their stamina, though at the cost of Hammer Incendio’s own stamina.

    Hammer Crash
Building on Hammer Smash, this move has Hammer Incendio charge at the opponent’s Beyblade after destabilizing it, delivering a devastating angled Force Smash Attack from above.

    Xtreme Dash Dragonic Break:
The Beyblade performs this technique by riding the full X-Celerator Rail twice. It completes its first rotation, jumps into the air, and lands back onto the rail for a second rotation. This move requires both precision and high launch power.
