Rosarita Cisneros (ロザリタ・チスネロス, Rozarita Chisunerosu), more commonly known as Roberta (ロベルタ, Roberuta) and infamously referred to as the Bloodhound of Florencia (フローレンシアの猟犬, Furōrenshia no ryōken), is a Colombian maid employed by the Lovelace family in Venezuela. Beneath her unassuming appearance as a devoted servant lies a deadly and infamous past as a guerrilla fighter and elite assassin.
Roberta is one of the most formidable characters in Black Lagoon, feared for her relentless combat skills and unyielding determination. Her presence brings chaos and bloodshed, cementing her reputation as a terrifying adversary and one of the series’ most iconic figures.
Background

Appearance in anime
Born and raised in Colombia, Rosarita grew up amidst the violence and turmoil of her country’s civil unrest. She became involved with a revolutionary guerrilla group, serving as an elite operative due to her exceptional combat abilities. Her skill set earned her the nickname Bloodhound of Florencia, highlighting her prowess as a tracker and killer.
During her time as a guerrilla fighter, Roberta committed numerous atrocities, including assassinations and acts of terrorism. However, the brutality of her life eventually drove her to seek redemption. Leaving her past behind, she found refuge as a maid in the service of the Lovelace family, a prominent Venezuelan household.
Roberta became deeply loyal to Diego Lovelace, the family patriarch, and his son Garcia Lovelace, whom she treated as her own child. Her devotion to the Lovelace family led her to take up arms once again to protect them, rekindling her violent past in pursuit of vengeance when Diego is assassinated.
Appearance
Roberta’s appearance is a stark contrast to her violent nature. She wears a traditional maid uniform with a long skirt and apron, complete with round glasses that give her a prim and unassuming look. However, her imposing stature, sharp eyes, and muscular build hint at her hidden strength and deadly capabilities.
When in combat, Roberta often discards her maidly facade, revealing an arsenal of weapons hidden beneath her uniform. Her transformation from a calm and composed maid to a ferocious warrior is one of the most striking aspects of her character.
Personality
Roberta is fiercely loyal, disciplined, and protective, particularly when it comes to the Lovelace family. Her deep sense of duty and maternal affection for Garcia drive her to extreme lengths, including acts of violence and vengeance.
Despite her brutal methods, Roberta is not devoid of humanity. She is haunted by her past as a guerrilla fighter, and her quest for redemption underscores much of her character arc. However, her inner turmoil often leads her to make morally ambiguous choices, blurring the line between justice and revenge.
Roberta’s personality is marked by an intense duality: the gentle, devoted maid who serves the Lovelace family and the ruthless assassin who will stop at nothing to achieve her goals.
