Known for her energetic and carefree personality, Ritsu brings humor and spontaneity to the group, often lightening the mood during stressful moments.

Background

Appearance in anime
Ritsu is a second-year student at Sakuragaoka High School, where she initially revives the Light Music Club with her best friend, Mio Akiyama, to avoid its disbandment. Despite not having any prior experience leading a club, Ritsu takes on the president role with enthusiasm, though her carefree attitude often results in Mio or other members stepping in to handle the details.
Ritsu chose the drums as her instrument because she believed it would be the easiest and least effort-intensive, though she later develops a genuine passion for drumming and becomes highly skilled. Her cheerful demeanor and love for pranks make her a source of both joy and exasperation for her bandmates, especially Mio, who often finds herself the target of Ritsu’s playful teasing.
Appearance
Ritsu has light brown, chin-length hair with bangs that are often held back by a yellow headband, a signature part of her look. Her hazel eyes and expressive face perfectly match her outgoing and mischievous personality.
Her school uniform is standard, but her casual clothing tends to be relaxed and practical, reflecting her easygoing nature. On stage, Ritsu’s outfits vary, but she typically opts for comfortable attire that suits her role as the drummer.
Personality
Ritsu is energetic, extroverted, and always ready with a witty remark or a joke. Her playful and mischievous nature often makes her the life of the group, though it can sometimes lead to conflicts, particularly with Mio, whom she enjoys teasing. Despite her carefree attitude, Ritsu is deeply loyal to her friends and always steps up when it matters most.
She is notoriously forgetful and has a tendency to procrastinate, often leaving tasks unfinished or relying on others to help. However, her charm and charisma make her a beloved member of the Light Music Club, and her leadership, though unconventional, keeps the group together.
