Appearance

Human Form:
Pieck is a short, young woman with long, disheveled black hair that falls to her shoulders. She has a prominent Greek nose and relaxed, downturned gray eyes. Her usual attire consists of a white blouse, a long light trench coat, a skirt that reaches her ankles, and black lace-up boots. As required by Marleyan law for all Eldians, she wears an Eldian armband on her left arm.

During her infiltration of Paradis Island, Pieck disguised herself as a member of the Jaegerists by wearing a stolen Scout Regiment uniform. To complete her disguise, she wore a white armband and tied her hair back into a ponytail. In her younger years, Pieck also typically wore her hair in a ponytail.

Cart Titan Form:
In her Titan form, Pieck’s Cart Titan stands at 4 meters tall when on all fours, moving in a quadrupedal manner. Her torso is long and flat, allowing her to carry equipment and materials on her back with ease. The Cart Titan’s face is elongated, featuring full lips, a large nose, a small forehead, and a wide mouth. The Titan form lacks distinct female characteristics and has short, black hair. Its long facial structure allows for the attachment of custom armor and specialized war mechanisms, including reinforced jaws and other military gear.

Personality

Pieck is depicted as kind-hearted and considerate, consistently showing care for her fellow Warriors and Warrior candidates. She is highly intelligent, able to quickly assess and deduce complex situations. This is demonstrated when the Warriors discussed using the Tybur family in their operations, and Pieck immediately grasped the nuances of the plan—something Zeke Jaeger implied was a frequent occurrence.

Despite her sharp intellect, Pieck is also known for her eccentric and laid-back demeanor. During a train ride to Liberio, she casually offered Colt Grice a drink, which led to him becoming intoxicated and starting a chant in support of Gabi Braun. Pieck’s time spent in her Titan form has influenced her behavior, leading her to occasionally crawl on all fours in private, finding it more comfortable. She has even been seen curling up on sofas like a cat.

Though Pieck has been loyal to Marley since childhood and fought for its interests, she harbors a desire to see her people freed from the persecution they endure. She is deeply concerned about the future of the Eldian race, recognizing that the world views them as a threat and fearing that technological advancements may render them obsolete. Pieck’s primary motivation for becoming a Warrior was to secure treatment for her ill father. Despite her service to Marley, she holds no deep resentment toward the inhabitants of Paradis Island and has even criticized her superiors’ strategies on occasion.

Pieck is highly regarded for her intelligence, earning praise from both her fellow Warriors and the Marleyan military. She has demonstrated the ability to quickly analyze situations and predict outcomes based on the facts presented to her. Pieck is known for making sound, strategic decisions that suit the circumstances, a trait that greatly contributed to her selection as the inheritor of the Cart Titan. Her sharp intellect has made her a vital asset in Marleyan operations, and her tactical acumen is one of the key reasons for her success as a Warrior.

Pieck possesses the ability to transform into the Cart Titan (車力の巨人, Shariki no Kyojin), a quadrupedal Titan known for its unique capabilities and adaptability in battle.

Speed

The Cart Titan is noted for its remarkable speed, comparable to the Jaw Titan. During the Battle of Shiganshina District, Pieck swiftly retrieved Zeke Jaeger from his incapacitated Beast Titan form after his defeat by Levi Ackerman. Zeke, known for his own incredible speed, acknowledged the Cart Titan’s agility, which allowed them to escape the battlefield successfully.

Enhanced Strength

Like all Titan shifters, Pieck’s Cart Titan possesses significant physical strength, surpassing that of Pure Titans despite its relatively small size. The Cart Titan’s quadrupedal form enables it to carry heavy loads, making it an invaluable asset for transporting cargo and battle equipment.

Enhanced Transformation Endurance

One of Pieck’s most unique abilities as the Cart Titan inheritor is her exceptional endurance. Unlike most Titan shifters, who can only maintain their Titan form for short durations, Pieck is capable of remaining in her Titan form for extended periods. After the Marley Mid-East War, Pieck revealed that she had spent nearly two months in her Titan form, which led to temporary difficulties walking on two legs, requiring the use of a crutch.

Communication

Pieck is one of the few Titan shifters capable of fluent speech while in her Titan form. She demonstrated this ability during the Battle of Shiganshina, acting as a scout and communicating with Zeke and Reiner to warn them of the approaching Scout Regiment. This ability is shared by other Titan shifters such as Ymir, Zeke, and Lara Tybur.

Partial Transformation

Pieck has shown the ability to perform partial transformations. She can partially emerge from the nape of her Titan, allowing her to communicate with others while still maintaining control of her Titan form. This ability offers flexibility during missions that require both tactical coordination and the use of her Titan powers.

Relationships

Porco Galliard

Pieck shared a close friendship with Porco Galliard, with the two growing especially close during the Marley Mid-East War. They often fought side by side in numerous battles, including the pivotal Battle of Fort Slava. Pieck affectionately referred to Galliard by the nickname “Pock” (ポッコ, Pokko), although he appeared irritated by the name. Their bond dates back to their childhood when they trained together as Warrior candidates.

Zeke Jaeger

Like her fellow Warriors, Pieck held Zeke Jaeger, the war chief, in high regard. During the Battle of Shiganshina, Pieck warned Zeke of the Scout Regiment’s approach and later rescued both him and Reiner Braun when the battle ended. She also assisted Zeke by gathering rocks for him to use against the Scouts. Pieck had known Zeke since childhood and was deeply shocked to discover his betrayal when he defected to Paradis. However, she later deduced the truth after recognizing that one of Zeke’s followers had captured her.

Theo Magath

As the leader of Marley’s military, Theo Magath earned Pieck’s respect, and the feeling was mutual. Magath frequently praised Pieck’s intelligence and deductive reasoning, recognizing her value despite her Eldian heritage. Their professional relationship was built on mutual trust and respect.

Reiner Braun

Pieck and Reiner Braun have been friends since childhood, both having been selected as Warrior candidates to inherit one of the Seven Titans under Marley’s control. During the Marley Mid-East War, she defended Reiner when Porco Galliard mocked his injuries. Pieck later joined Zeke and a group of Marleyan soldiers to rescue Reiner and the other Warriors on Paradis Island.

Jean Kirschtein

Pieck and Jean Kirschtein were enemies during the Battle of Shiganshina District and the Raid on Liberio. However, they eventually became allies, working together on several missions after the formation of the alliance. Pieck saved Jean’s life on two occasions and demonstrated concern for him, even abandoning her mission to destroy Eren in order to rescue Jean. She also persuaded Jean to leave Reiner behind when necessary.

Gabi Braun and Falco Grice

Pieck cared deeply for the Warrior candidates, Gabi Braun and Falco Grice. Despite her mistrust of Marley, she reassured Gabi that she would never betray her comrades. Before Porco Galliard’s transformation, Pieck held Gabi’s hand and smiled at her to comfort her. Later, during the alliance’s escape by boat, Pieck expressed concern for Gabi and Falco, not knowing if their homeland was safe. To protect them from engaging in further battle, Pieck asked Kiyomi Azumabito to lock them in their room, demonstrating her desire to keep them safe.
