Patricia “Patty” Thompson is a Demon Weapon and the younger sister of Elizabeth “Liz” Thompson. Together, they are known as the “Demon Twin Guns” for their ability to transform into matching pistols. Patty and Liz were once notorious petty criminals, nicknamed the “Brooklyn Devils”, surviving as street thugs in New York City. Their lives changed when they were discovered by Death the Kid, the son of Shinigami-sama, who offered them a chance to reform. The sisters became Kid’s weapon partners and later enrolled at the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA), where they were placed in the E.A.T Class. Over time, Patty reformed from her criminal ways, joining her sister as part of Kid’s team and later becoming a member of Spartoi.
Appearance
Patty and Liz Thompson alongside Death the Kid, showcasing their strong bond and teamwork as his loyal weapons
Patty is a petite girl with a childlike appearance that contrasts sharply with her mischievous and sometimes chaotic personality. She has short, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and an infectious smile that reflects her carefree nature. Unlike her sister Liz, Patty has a more playful and casual style, wearing the same outfit: a black tube top, short shorts, and knee-high boots accessorized with arm warmers and a cowboy hat.
In her weapon form, Patty transforms into a silver Desert Eagle pistol, identical to her sister’s weapon form, with a sleek design that perfectly matches Kid’s preference for symmetry.
Personality
Patty has a lighthearted and carefree personality, often acting more like a child than a teenager. She is known for her boundless energy, goofy sense of humor, and love for teasing others. Her childlike demeanor often serves as comic relief, but it also masks her sharp instincts and deep loyalty to her sister and Death the Kid. Patty enjoys finding humor in almost any situation, even in the midst of danger, which contrasts with Liz’s more serious and practical attitude.
Despite her playful exterior, Patty is incredibly fearless and dependable in combat, showing unwavering loyalty to Kid and her sister. She has a wild side that occasionally manifests in her love for chaos and fighting, a remnant of her tough upbringing on the streets of New York. Her carefree nature also makes her unpredictable, as she often disregards norms and expectations in favor of doing things her own way.
Patty has a close relationship with her sister Liz, often relying on her for guidance and support. She is also fiercely protective of Death the Kid, seeing him as more than just a meister but also a friend.
Role in the Story
Patty serves as both comic relief and a dependable fighter in Kid’s team. Her loyalty and enthusiasm make her a valuable asset during missions, and her bond with her sister Liz provides emotional depth to her character. Together with Kid and Liz, Patty helps maintain balance in their team, often lightening the mood during tense situations.
Her playful nature often leads to hilarious interactions with Kid, especially when she intentionally disrupts his obsession with symmetry. However, she is also capable of serious moments, particularly when it comes to protecting her friends and fulfilling her role as a weapon.
