The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
In the alternate reality created by Yuki Nagato, Mikuru is not a time traveler and has no recollection of Haruhi or Kyon. She remains a normal high school girl, still a member of the Calligraphy Club and best friends with Tsuruya.

When Kyon approaches her in a desperate attempt to confirm her identity, Mikuru is visibly confused and frightened. She denies being from the future and asks Kyon to let go of her hand. Later, when Haruhi and Itsuki are found, Haruhi storms into the Calligraphy Club and drags Mikuru to the Literature Club, unknowingly reuniting the alternate versions of the SOS Brigade members.

Mikuru retains her original personality in the chibi-style parody series The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya. However, her shy and flustered tendencies are exaggerated for comedic effect. The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan
