Miko maintains a stoic exterior when confronted with spirits, though she is internally terrified of them. She cares deeply for her friend Hana Yurikawa and frequently uses her abilities to protect her, such as diverting her from routes infested with spirits and bringing her food when she suffers from spiritual drainage.

Miko prefers to ignore spirits and often downplays her own abilities, even when confronted by other mediums like Yuria Niguredou and Shindou Romm.

In the manga, Miko lives with her mother and younger brother, Kyousuke Yotsuya, following the death of her father. Both her mother and brother are protective of her, and her family plays a supportive role as she navigates her interactions with the spirit world.

Abilities

Miko has the ability to see spirits, including powerful ones invisible to other mediums, with complete clarity. However, she cannot see extremely powerful spirits, though she can perceive their effects.

Her ability is always active, meaning she constantly sees spirits in her daily life. To avoid attracting their attention, she has learned that ignoring them and remaining stoic helps keep her safe. However, her composure often collapses when she feels secure.

Unlike Mitsue and Yuria, Miko cannot see auras despite her spiritual powers.
