Personality

Mihai Florescu is portrayed as a cynical and self-centered individual who often treats those around him as playthings for his own amusement. He is prone to manipulation and deceit, sometimes placing others in dangerous situations purely for entertainment. His lack of empathy and understanding of how his actions affect others makes him unpredictable, and even Inugami has acknowledged Mihai as potentially dangerous when in a foul mood. Despite this, Mihai is not inherently malicious he is willing to offer help when a situation captures his interest.

Though he projects a casual and indifferent attitude, Mihai displays unexpected dedication and diligence when he commits to a task. Once engaged, he works thoroughly and efficiently, often putting in considerable effort to achieve the best outcome. This is illustrated when he trained Shiki in a video game, going so far as to provide in-game care such as food and rest to enhance Shiki’s condition or preserve the immersive experience.

Mihai has a strong aversion to boredom and constantly seeks new sources of stimulation. His primary interest is online gaming, and he becomes visibly annoyed when his gameplay is interrupted though his level of irritation varies depending on the situation.

As an accomplished polymath, Mihai takes great pride in his knowledge and creations. He often refers to himself with various impressive titles, though it remains unclear whether these are genuine or exaggerated. He craves acknowledgment for his expertise and enjoys receiving praise, but is easily irritated by skepticism or criticism. Despite his ego, he is sensitive to disapproval and prefers to avoid being scolded.

Background

Mihai Florescu is a vampire Kemono from Romania who has lived for several centuries. Throughout his long life, he has accumulated advanced expertise in a wide range of disciplines, reaching a level of mastery that eventually left him feeling unchallenged and disillusioned. His vast knowledge spans fields such as science, technology, medicine, and combat, though his exact accomplishments remain ambiguous due to his tendency to exaggerate.

At some point in the past, Mihai became acquainted with Kohachi Inugami. Recognizing Mihai’s boredom and growing detachment from life, Inugami invited him to Japan to work at the Inugami Detective Agency. Accepting the offer, Mihai relocated and has since occupied himself primarily with online gaming, which has become his latest obsession and a primary source of entertainment.
