Before the events of the series, Michiru Kinushima was raised by a Giftia who acted as her father figure. When he reached the end of his operational lifespan, he became a Wanderer, a Giftia that has lost its personality and poses a danger to those around it. The retrieval of Michiru’s father was assigned to Isla and Kazuki Kuwanomi. The mission turned tragic when Kazuki was injured during the attempt, and R. Security was ultimately called in to neutralize the Wanderer. This traumatic event left a lasting impact on Michiru, instilling in her a deep respect for Terminal Service and a strong dislike for R. Security. The experience also inspired her decision to join Terminal Service No. 1.

During the series, Michiru is deeply affected upon learning about Isla’s limited remaining lifespan information that had initially been kept from her. Struggling with guilt and empathy for both Tsukasa and Isla, she later proposes that the Terminal Service staff hold a farewell party to honor Isla after she and Tsukasa complete their final assignment together.

Tsukasa Mizugaki
Michiru harbors feelings for Tsukasa, which occasionally leads to moments of jealousy, particularly when she witnesses his closeness with Isla. Despite her initial conflicted emotions, after a heartfelt conversation with Tsukasa about his reasons for loving Isla, Michiru sets aside her jealousy and assures him of her support in his pursuit of Isla’s happiness.

Kazuki Kuwanomi
Kazuki played a central role in the retrieval of Michiru’s Giftia guardian, who had turned into a Wanderer. Kazuki’s compassionate approach attempting to resolve the situation without violence left a lasting impression on Michiru. However, the intervention of R. Security led to a violent confrontation, during which Kazuki sustained a serious leg injury. Michiru continues to feel guilt over the incident, but Kazuki’s kindness and dedication inspired her to join Terminal Service No. 1.

Eru Miru
Michiru is close friends with Eru and often looks out for her. She is protective of Eru and tends to brush off or downplay Eru’s playful or inappropriate schemes, asking others not to take them too seriously.
