Etymology

The surname Ageha (上葉) is composed of the kanji 上 (age), meaning “upper” or “top,” and 葉 (ha), meaning “leaf.” However, like the other members of Prizmmy☆, her surname is also a reference to a butterfly, with Ageha (揚羽) being the Japanese word for a swallowtail butterfly symbolizing transformation, elegance, and beauty.

Her given name, Mia (みあ), can be interpreted in several ways. It resembles the word for “my” or “mine” in various languages, suggesting individuality and self-assurance. Additionally, it may be derived from the Japanese verb “miageru” (見上げる), which means “to look up” or “admire,” reflecting Mia’s aspirational nature and her desire to reach the top.
