Appearance

Meliodas appears to be a young boy with short, blond hair and emerald-green eyes, giving him a youthful and innocent look despite his age. In reality, Meliodas is over 3,000 years old, and his appearance belies his actual experience and maturity. His most distinctive features include a dragon symbol on his upper left arm, marking his title as the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath, and a scar on his right cheek. He is typically seen wearing the Boar Hat Tavern uniform, which consists of a white shirt, black vest, and black pants.

Meliodas, the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath from The Seven Deadly Sins, assumes his devil form, unleashing immense power and demonic abilities.

Personality

Meliodas is known for his easygoing and perverted nature, often teasing or flirting with women, particularly his love interest and eventual wife, Elizabeth Liones. However, beneath this carefree persona lies a deep well of emotions and internal conflict due to his tragic past and his curse of eternal life. His loyalty to his comrades and his unwavering resolve to protect those he loves are central to his character.

While he is typically calm and controlled, Meliodas has a darker side, which is tied to his title as the Sin of Wrath. His immense strength can become a danger when his anger overtakes him, and his wrath has caused destruction in the past. Despite this, he constantly strives to control his emotions and seeks redemption for his sins.

The distinctive mark on Meliodas’ face symbolizes his heritage as the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath and his connection to the Demon Clan.

Full Counter

Meliodas’s signature ability, which allows him to reflect magic-based attacks back at his opponents with double the power. This ability is highly effective against mages but limited against physical attacks.

Assault Mode

In his Assault Mode, Meliodas taps into the full power of his demonic heritage, greatly enhancing his strength, speed, and durability. However, using this form puts him closer to his darker, more violent self.

Hellblaze

This is a demonic power that allows Meliodas to generate and manipulate black flames. These flames have the ability to nullify regeneration, making them particularly deadly.

Immortality

Due to the curse placed on him by the Demon King and Supreme Deity, Meliodas cannot die. Even if his body is destroyed, he will eventually return to life, though each resurrection comes with the cost of losing more of his emotions and humanity.

Sacred Treasure: Demon Sword Lostvayne

Meliodas’s Sacred Treasure is the Demon Sword Lostvayne, a powerful weapon that allows him to create clones of himself, each with a fraction of his original power. This ability can be strategically advantageous in battle, allowing him to overwhelm enemies or focus on multiple threats at once.

Relationships

Elizabeth Liones

Elizabeth is the love of Meliodas’s life, and the two have been bound by a tragic curse that causes Elizabeth to be reincarnated every time she dies, with Meliodas watching her die over and over again. Despite the curse, their love endures across time, and they eventually marry and have a son, Tristan.

Zeldris

Zeldris is Meliodas’s younger brother and a fellow member of the Ten Commandments. Despite their differences, Meliodas cares deeply for Zeldris and tries to protect him, even as they find themselves on opposite sides of the war between the Demon Clan and their enemies.

Ban

Ban is Meliodas’s closest friend and a member of the Seven Deadly Sins. Their friendship is central to the series, and despite their occasional bickering, they share a deep bond of loyalty and mutual respect.
