Masamune Makabe (真壁 政宗, Makabe Masamune), is the main protagonist and titular character of the romantic comedy manga and anime series Masamune-kun no Revenge. Once an overweight and timid child who was cruelly rejected by his childhood crush, Aki Adagaki, Masamune undergoes a dramatic transformation returning years later as a fit, attractive, and confident high schooler with a single goal: to enact revenge by making Aki fall in love with him, only to cruelly reject her in return.
While he begins his plan fueled by bitterness and pride, Masamune’s journey is complicated by his growing emotions, conflicted morality, and unexpected truths that challenge everything he believed about his past.
