Marina (マリナ) is a supporting character in I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! She is a member of the rookie party Clover and was previously a student of Yuke during his time as a lecturer in adventurer preparatory training.
Marina is a highly skilled Magic Swordsman, a rare profession with an aptitude rate of only one in 10,000 people. She has mastered the powerful Magic Sword Transformation technique, which enhances weapons with immense destructive power, making her a formidable asset in battle. While her combat prowess is crucial for quest completion, her innocent and lively personality also makes her the party’s unrivaled mood maker, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the team.
History

Appearance in Armor
Marina was a student under Yuke during her time in Adventurer Preliminary Training, where she trained alongside Rain and Silk. After completing their training, the three of them officially became adventurers and decided to form a party together.
Upon encountering Yuke again at the Adventurer’s Guild, Marina was thrilled by the reunion and eagerly invited him to join their party. During their first quest together, she proposed that Yuke livestream his battle against the Steel Crab, recognizing his skill and believing it would be valuable for others to witness.
As their teamwork strengthened, Marina suggested making their group an officially recognized party, proposing the name “Clover” to symbolize their unity. She emphasized that Yuke was their “lucky fourth member,” completing their team. With unanimous agreement from the group, Clover was officially formed, and they continued their adventures together, striving to reach the depths of Achromatic Darkness.
Appearance
Marina has light skin, red hair, and red eyes, complementing her energetic and fiery personality. Her attire varies depending on whether she is exploring dungeons or in a casual setting, but a signature feature in both outfits is the ribbon she always wears in her hair.
When venturing into dungeons, Marina wears a protective armor set paired with a red skirt, secured by a brown belt, ensuring both mobility and defense in battle.
Outside of dungeon expeditions, she opts for a more relaxed outfit, consisting of a dark teal shirt, a red skirt, and brown shoes, maintaining a balance between comfort and style.
Personality
Marina has a happy-go-lucky personality, often making quick and enthusiastic decisions without overthinking. She acts on impulse, such as immediately inviting Yuke to join her party upon reuniting with him and suggesting they livestream their first major boss fight. Her energetic and carefree nature makes her a natural source of morale within Clover.
One of Marina’s most notable traits is her affectionate nature she is a hugger, often greeting or congratulating others with enthusiastic embraces. Upon meeting Yuke at the Adventurer’s Guild, she greeted him with a tight hug, and after his victory against the Steel Crab in Episode 1, she embraced him once again in celebration. However, she is unaware of her own strength, as demonstrated in Episodes 2 and 3, where she unintentionally nearly chokes Yuke while hugging him too tightly on separate occasions.
Role in the Story
Marina plays a key role as a frontline attacker, using her Magic Sword Transformation technique to deliver devastating melee attacks. She often acts as the first to engage in combat, providing the party with both offense and morale boosts.
Beyond her combat role, Marina serves as a source of emotional balance, ensuring that the party remains upbeat and motivated. Her comedic moments, playful banter, and boundless enthusiasm add lightheartedness to even the most intense situations.
