Appearance in Anime
Leonis is the ancient Demon King and has taken on various appearances throughout history, with his demonic form being the most powerful. His original form before becoming a Dark Lord resembles his current appearance, with some differences. At age sixteen, he had longer hair that he tied up, and in his early teens (around twelve to fourteen), part of his bangs was swept upward.
In the present, he appears as a ten-year-old boy with purple-to-pink eyes, though in the light novel, his eyes are black. He has brown hair styled similarly to a typical self-insert isekai protagonist, featuring a long bang swept to the right side above his eyebrow (to the left from a viewer’s perspective) and an ahoge. In the light novel, his hair is black. He mainly wears the Excalibur Academy uniform, but he occasionally dons a cloak and mask when disguising himself as another Dark Lord, Zol Voldis. Many people consider him handsome and cool despite his young age.
Personality
Leonis is a very responsible and mature individual. He is always clear about his objectives and never hesitates to eliminate his enemies or anyone who stands in the way of his ambitions. However, he shows a kinder side toward those he considers his subordinates.
This contrast between his youthful appearance and his commanding personality often raises suspicion among the girls on his team.
Biography
Leonis grew up an orphan until Shardark discovered that he possessed the “soul of a hero.” Taken in and trained in swordsmanship, Leonis eventually rose to become one of the Six Heroes, Leonis Shealto, the Hero of the Holy Sword. However, he was betrayed and assassinated by his kingdom’s nobles under Arakael Degradios. Near death, a mysterious girl resurrected him and transformed him into a Dark Lord, giving him new purpose. Devoted to her, Leonis embraced the mission of overthrowing human society and became the strongest Dark Lord, ruling the nation of Necrozoa.
When the remaining heroes set out to eliminate all Dark Lords, Leonis realized he could not defeat his former comrades. Instead, he sealed himself inside a crystal coffin, choosing to reincarnate a thousand years later. Upon awakening in the body of a ten-year-old boy, he encountered Riselia Ray Crystalia, who mistook him for a kidnapped child. After a Void attack that cost Riselia her life, Leonis resurrected her as a vampire, revealing only to himself how far the world had drifted from the history he once knew.
Discovering that civilization had advanced and forgotten the ancient war, Leonis enrolled in Excalibur Academy to gather information. Keeping his promise to Roselia, the Goddess of Rebellion, he began working toward finding her vessel and rebuilding a new Dark Lord’s army. Behind his childlike appearance, Leonis continued his hidden quest to once again conquer the world.

- After a while Leonis got used to sleeping next to Riselia. (Something that cost him since Riselia usually hugs him naked).
