Kazuha Migiwa is one of the main heroines in Yosuga no Sora. During her early childhood, Kazuha Migiwa lived a largely isolated life, unable to make friends due to her status as the daughter of the village’s most powerful family. This changed when she met Akira Amatsume, a cheerful and innocent girl who treated her as an equal. The two quickly became close, and their friendship encouraged other children to join them, allowing Kazuha to finally enjoy a normal social life. Even after learning of Kazuha’s elite status, Akira remained by her side, never treating her differently.
Their joyful time together ended abruptly when Akira’s only parent passed away, forcing her to leave the village. One night, Kazuha overheard her parents discussing Akira’s future. Her father wished to adopt Akira, but her mother strongly opposed the idea, threatening to leave with Kazuha if he went through with it. Kazuha, having overheard the conversation, tearfully confronted them. It was then revealed that Akira was, in fact, her half-sister born from her father’s extramarital affair.
Ultimately, Kazuha’s father chose not to adopt Akira, instead arranging for Yahiro Ifukube to take care of her in secret. Kazuha was unaware of this arrangement for many years.
