However, his prejudice extends beyond Will, as he holds an even lower opinion of dwarves. He is openly racist toward them, frequently criticizing their presence and even going as far as to tell them to leave the country, reinforcing his elitist mindset.

Although Julius maintains an air of superiority, he is also acutely aware of his own shortcomings. He knows that remaining at Regarden while others advance makes him a “leftover”, fueling his desperation to grow stronger and prove his worth beyond the academy.

Feeling betrayed and disillusioned, he abandoned his former self, swearing off the kindness that once defined him and fully embracing the pride and arrogance of nobility.

Upon entering Regarden Magical Academy, Julius quickly established himself as one of the top students. By his final year, he had secured his place as the third-ranked student in his class, demonstrating both his exceptional magical prowess and his determination to rise above others.

Julius Reinberg is a highly skilled ice mage, having graduated third in his year at Regarden Magical Academy. While he is nowhere near the level of Magia Vander Elfaria, he remains a formidable spellcaster, particularly due to his expertise in high-tier ice magic. His most notable achievement is being the first mage to replicate one of the El Glace Frosse spells, though his version is imperfect and weaker than the original. Despite this, he is capable of instantly freezing targets and manipulating the battlefield using mist and ice walls to gain a tactical advantage.

Julius’ mastery of Ice Magic (氷魔法, Kōri Mahō) allows him to wield low- and mid-tier spells with ease. In his first appearance, he demonstrated his skills by launching ice shards at training dummies, freezing them upon impact. He can also create mist to obscure vision and erect walls of ice for defense. One of his signature spells, Xelunea Caulis (氷嘆の塔塊ゼルネア・カウリース), enables him to conjure a massive chunk of ice and drop it onto his opponent, crushing them under its weight.

Julius’ greatest magical accomplishment is his partial mastery of El Glace Frosse, a series of twelve powerful ice spells developed by Elfaria Albis Serfort. He is the first mage aside from Elfaria to replicate one of these spells, but his version is limited in both effectiveness and control. Unlike guardian-type magic, these clones require direct control, meaning Julius must actively manipulate their movements. They can also explode using the spell Eisplosion, which traps enemies in ice, or serve as remote magic circles for casting other spells. However, his replication is flawed—he can only summon up to eight clones unassisted, and can only precisely control four at a time. Additionally, he struggles to contain the cold energy leaking from the clones, making their usage unstable without assistance.

Beyond his signature spells, Julius is proficient in high-grade ice magic, including Armenta Auliscas, a devastating ice barrage that is considered his strongest spell. He also utilizes Glace Itier and Frall, the latter of which creates a tall block of ice to block incoming attacks. His spell Ice Over remains somewhat mysterious, but likely aids in battlefield control, while Froid Gardinas allows him to summon low-level guardian birds made of ice, potentially for scouting or offense.

Like all mages, Julius possesses knowledge of Common Magic (共通魔法, Common Magic), which includes spells usable by all trained magicians.
