Jōjirō is a student at Hoshinoumi Academy, a school that secretly protects students with supernatural abilities. He was recruited into the Student Council due to his ability, where he works alongside Nao Tomori and later Yuu Otosaka to locate and safeguard ability users before they are exploited.

Unlike some ability users who struggle with their powers emotionally, Jōjirō has fully embraced his abilities, though he often suffers from unintended consequences due to his lack of control. He is enthusiastic about his role in the Student Council, treating missions with seriousness and passion, even when things don’t go as planned.

He is also a huge fan of Yusa Nishimori, frequently geeking out over her presence whenever she is around.

Jōjirō has short, spiky light brown hair and grayish-green eyes. He is slim but athletic, fitting his high-speed movement ability.

He wears the Hoshinoumi Academy uniform, consisting of a red blazer, white collared shirt, and black pants. However, due to his frequent crashes, he is often seen with bandages, bruises, or broken glasses, a running gag throughout the series. When using his ability, he is often a blur of motion, but he almost never stops smoothly, leading to hilariously destructive crashes into walls, windows, or even other people.

Jōjirō is enthusiastic, dedicated, and incredibly loyal, taking his Student Council duties seriously, even when they involve comedic misfortunes. He has a cheerful and optimistic personality, rarely letting his constant injuries bring him down.

Unlike Nao Tomori, who is more cunning and manipulative, Jōjirō is straightforward and honest, always acting with good intentions.

• Recruiting Yuu Otosaka
  Jōjirō is one of the first people Yuu meets after being forced to join the Student Council. He enthusiastically introduces Yuu to their duties, demonstrating his high-speed ability, only to immediately crash into a wall a recurring gag throughout the series. Though Yuu initially dislikes him, Jōjirō’s genuine kindness and dedication eventually earn Yuu’s respect and friendship.

• Tracking Down Ability Users
  As a Student Council member, Jōjirō assists in locating ability users, often using his super speed to subdue or chase them down. However, his lack of control often backfires, causing more destruction than intended. Despite this, he remains reliable and is one of the most capable fighters among the group.

• Battles and Fights
  Jōjirō participates in several fights against hostile ability users, using his speed-based combat skills to gain an advantage. Though he lacks raw power, his quick reflexes and resilience make him a valuable ally in battle.

• Supporting Yuu in His Darkest Moments
  After Ayumi’s death, Jōjirō is deeply concerned for Yuu, but he is unable to reach him emotionally like Nao does. However, when Yuu returns, determined to steal all abilities worldwide, Jōjirō fights alongside him, proving his loyalty and dedication to their cause.
