Background

Appearance in Anime
Ireena hails from the royal bloodline of Laville, making her the true princess of the Empire. However, due to her family’s descent from the legendary “Champion” Lydia, who carried the blood of the Evil Gods and was branded a traitor to the Demon Lord they adopted the surname “Olhyde” and lived quietly in the countryside to conceal their true heritage.
In her early years, Ireena was neither cheerful nor lively. Her social circle was limited, with Rosa being her only friend, yet even this companionship could not dispel her loneliness. Everything began to change, however, when she met Ard Meteor, marking the start of a new chapter in her life.
Personality

Appearance in Anime
Since childhood, Ireena has displayed a strong sense of justice and a tomboyish spirit. Her boundless cheerfulness and infectious energy often brighten Ard’s mood, and she approaches life with optimism, actively seeking friendships regardless of how others respond to her. She cannot stand those who bully or demean others, as shown when she stood up to Elrado for tormenting Ginny.
Despite her confident and proactive nature, Ireena is a pure-hearted maiden, often unfamiliar with certain romantic concepts such as Ginny’s suggestion of a harem. She can be openly jealous when other girls grow too close to Ard, frequently finding herself in playful or heated competition for his affection.
Appearance
Ireena bears a striking resemblance to her ancestor, Lydia Beginsgate, inheriting her elegant features and refined beauty. She is a graceful elf girl with long, lustrous silver hair that flows down to her knees, the ends neatly tied with ribbons. Her crystal-clear blue eyes add to her ethereal charm. Ireena often adorns her hair with a delicate flower-shaped hairpin, which she later replaces with a heart-shaped hairpin gifted to her by Lydia.
Abilities
As a descendant of the royal Laville bloodline and the legendary champion Lydia, Ireena possesses exceptional magical talent and natural combat aptitude. She is skilled in elemental magic, particularly wind and light-based spells, which she uses for both offense and support. Her agility and precision in battle make her a capable fighter, able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Although she is still developing her full potential, her innate magical power is considered extraordinary, hinting at the latent strength of her heritage.
Relationships
Ard Meteor
Ireena first met Ard at the age of twelve when he rescued her from a wolf attack. Since then, they have shared a close bond, with Ard teaching her silent casting and advanced magic techniques. Fiercely protective of him, she refuses to tolerate anyone who insults him. While she has always loved Ard, her innocence kept her from realizing the depth of her feelings until Ginny entered the picture, sparking a rivalry over his affection. Her jealousy toward Ginny is evident, and she openly rejects Ginny’s proposal of forming a harem, desiring Ard exclusively for herself. In a future timeline, when her daughter travels to the present, it is revealed that Ireena is her mother implying that Ard is her father.
Ginny Fin de Salvan
Initially, Ireena felt sympathy for Ginny due to the mistreatment she endured and invited her to join her group. However, their friendship quickly evolved into a competitive rivalry after Ginny fell in love with Ard. Despite frequently clashing over his attention, Ireena and Ginny still share a genuine friendship and mutual care for one another.
Lydia Beginsgate
Lydia is Ireena’s ancestor, and although Ireena respects her heritage, she disapproves of Lydia’s overtly flirtatious behavior toward younger girls especially her fixation on virginal succubi. She is particularly uncomfortable with Lydia’s tendency to grope Ginny, a habit that often causes Ireena to react defensively on Ginny’s behalf.
