Muscular is an intimidating, broad-shouldered man with a heavily built physique that matches his name. He has short, spiky sandy blond hair, small black eyes, and a large scar running down the left side of his face, a mark left by the hero duo Water Hose before he killed them. He wears a prosthetic eye in place of the one he lost and keeps several spare eyes, swapping them depending on his mood. He also has a smaller scar on his forehead, adding to his rough and fearsome appearance.

Following his time in Tartarus, Muscular’s hair grows longer, and he sports noticeable stubble on his chin. When he faces Izuku Midoriya again, he replaces his lost prosthetic with a makeshift eye carved from stone. His usual outfit includes a black hooded cloak and a white hockey mask with multiple holes. Beneath this, he wears a red tank top, a dark jacket tied around his waist, dark green pants, and black knee-high boots, completing his menacing look.

True to his name and appearance, Muscular is sadistic, ruthless, and bloodthirsty. He takes immense pleasure in using his Quirk, Muscle Augmentation, to kill and destroy, often taunting his victims with the phrase “Show me your blood!” Unlike other members of the Vanguard Action Squad, he joined the League of Villains not for ideology but for the thrill of violence and chaos. He enjoys instilling fear in others, especially children, as shown when he terrorized Kota Izumi, the son of heroes he had killed.

Despite his cruelty, Muscular has a twisted sense of personal code. He believes that one’s worth is determined by their ability to fulfill their intentions, claiming that whoever wins a battle is “right.” When he lost his left eye to the Water Hose duo, he held no grudge, seeing it as their will overpowering his in that moment. However, his arrogance is also his greatest weakness. Convinced of his superiority, he often underestimates his opponents and lets his guard down.

While Muscular respects strength, he has no higher purpose beyond destruction. He fights purely for excitement and acknowledges strong opponents like Izuku only because they make battle more thrilling. When faced with weaker foes, he quickly grows bored and seeks stronger challengers. His only goal in life is to unleash as much carnage as possible before dying without regret — a testament to his chaotic and irredeemable nature.

Muscular is one of the most dangerous members of the League of Villains’ Vanguard Action Squad, known for his immense physical power and ruthless efficiency in combat. His mastery of his Quirk, Muscle Augmentation, allows him to drastically amplify his strength and speed, enabling him to crush opponents with devastating blows. Muscular’s brute force and ferocity earned him the nickname “The Carnal Murderer.” Despite his bloodlust, he possesses exceptional combat instincts and endurance, allowing him to overpower even skilled heroes like the duo Water Hose. However, his recklessness often leaves him injured, such as losing his left eye in battle.

During the Vanguard Action Squad’s attack, Muscular repeatedly overpowered Izuku Midoriya, who was wielding One For All at full strength. Even a 100% Detroit Smash, equivalent to All Might’s power, barely injured him. Only after Izuku pushed past his limits and surpassed 100% of One For All with help from Kota was Muscular finally defeated. After escaping from Tartarus, Muscular proved that imprisonment had done little to weaken him, as he tore through reinforced walls and fought multiple heroes at once. Yet, during his rematch with Deku, Muscular was no match for Izuku’s newly developed Quirks and was ultimately taken down again, his overconfidence and unraveling muscle fibers marking his downfall once more.
