An enigmatic entity who disguises herself as different individuals,Firenda (フィレンダ, Firenda), also known as Nikola (ニコラ, Nikora; Yen Press: Nicolas, Funimation: Nicola), serves as the true main antagonist of Plunderer. Her real name remains unknown, and she has assumed various false identities to conceal her true nature.
Firenda is initially introduced under the alias Nikola, appearing as Davi’s subordinate and a soldier of the Althea Royal Guard. However, this is merely a facade. In reality, she holds the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Special Service and was one of the instructors at the 13th Special Military Forces School 300 years ago, playing a crucial role in shaping the events that unfold throughout the series.
Appearance

Appearance in Anime
In her true form as Firenda, she has ankle-length or floor-length pink hair, styled in a ponytail-braid, with bangs hanging on the right side and a single small wavy strand on the left. Her most distinctive features include her blue eyes, which are usually closed, and a beauty mark located on the bottom right side of her face. She is typically seen wearing her military uniform, reflecting her high-ranking status within the Special Service.
.
Personality
Firenda is cold, manipulative, and utterly ruthless, possessing an unwavering hunger for control and domination. She is highly intelligent and cunning, effortlessly deceiving those around her while orchestrating long-term plans to maintain her influence.
Her lack of empathy and moral restraint make her one of the most terrifying figures in the series. Unlike many antagonists who seek power through brute force, Firenda prefers psychological warfare, breaking her enemies mentally and emotionally before destroying them physically.
Despite her calculated nature, she is also sadistic and cruel, finding pleasure in watching others suffer, especially when it is at her hands. She views humans as disposable tools, manipulating even the most powerful warriors into playing her game.
Abilities and Power
Firenda is an exceptionally powerful figure in Plunderer, possessing immense combat skills, intelligence, and scientific expertise. Initially introduced with a count of 47, it is later revealed that this number was a deception, as most Special Service members possess counts of 10,000 or higher. Her actual count is 10,000,000, representing the number of times she has plundered from others. During her battle against Licht’s group, she increases this number to 10,000,001 after stealing Licht’s kindness. Firenda is also recognized as one of the most advanced scientists in the world before the Abandonment War, playing a crucial role in the development of Althing, Ballots, the Aerial Ace Project, and the Red Baron Procedure. She contributed to the creation of the Red Baron’s Drug, which enables individuals to transform into Barons without genetic screening or surgical procedures.
In combat, Firenda is highly skilled in both physical abilities and supernatural techniques, making her an unpredictable and dangerous opponent. She possesses Imitation Manipulation, allowing her to control copies, replications, and imitations of people, powers, and even entire worlds. Additionally, she has Illusion Manipulation, enabling her to alter her surroundings and trap opponents in illusory environments, as seen when she tricks Tokikaze into reliving his memories. Her Face Alteration ability allows her to completely change her facial appearance, which she uses to disguise herself as Nikola, a different soldier, and Tsukina. Firenda also has Ability Mimicry, granting her the power to copy and utilize abilities from others, further adding to her versatility in battle.
Firenda’s superhuman attributes make her an incredibly formidable foe. She possesses Flashing Strike (Sengeki), an ability similar to Licht’s, allowing her to move at speeds faster than light, as demonstrated when she dodges Tokikaze’s Blink Attack while attempting to brainwash him. Her Superhuman Speed exceeds the speed of light, making her nearly untouchable, while her Superhuman Reflexes surpass even Licht’s, who can already react faster than Schmelman. This heightened agility enables her to dodge complex attacks with ease, making her an incredibly difficult opponent to land a hit on.
Beyond speed and reflexes, Firenda can manipulate various elemental forces and physical properties. She wields Blast (Bakugeki), an ability similar to Alexandrov’s, which allows her to control fire powerful enough to melt Schmelman’s ice, a feat Alexandrov himself could not accomplish. She also possesses Causinomancy, granting her the ability to incinerate objects or people with extreme heat. Additionally, she can use Blink Strike (Shungeki) to draw her sword at light speed, mimicking Tokikaze’s ability. Firenda’s Heavy Strike (Jūgeki) grants her gravity manipulation, allowing her to increase gravitational forces in a targeted area to immobilize or crush her enemies. Furthermore, she can enhance the strength and durability of objects, as demonstrated when she empowered the Iron Devil using Jail’s abilities.
Firenda’s mastery extends to Frost Strike (Kōrigeki), a powerful ice-based ability similar to Schmelman’s, but significantly stronger. She can instantly freeze anything and has attempted to trap Licht in ice, though he managed to break free before being fully encased. Her Iceberg Projection technique allows her to summon and hurl massive floating icebergs at her enemies. In addition to ice, she wields Iron Manipulation, mirroring Jail’s abilities, and can create iron constructs, transforming them into weapons or semi-living entities. She also demonstrates Aerokinesis, an ability akin to Robert Du Vanvich’s, which allows her to summon and control tornados.
Firenda possesses Instantaneous Regeneration, allowing her to heal from injuries at an alarming rate. After plundering Licht’s reaction speed, her wounds healed instantly while she continued dodging his attacks. Whether this ability was copied or is one of her inherent skills remains unknown. Her regeneration, combined with her speed and mimicry, makes her an overwhelmingly difficult opponent to defeat.
Beyond her combat abilities, Firenda is a scientific genius and a master spy. She played a crucial role in developing the Althing, Ballots, and the Red Baron Procedure, conducting research on Schmelman’s genes to create the Red Barons. Her genetic expertise allowed her to manipulate the DNA of all seven Red Barons, integrating Schmelman’s superhuman abilities into their bodies. She also pioneered cloning technology, successfully creating Class A clones with the exact combat skills of the originals. Her expertise extended to creating a clone of Schmelman himself, which was powerful enough to overpower several Red Barons and New Class A warriors with ease. Additionally, she helped Tsukina Farrow develop the Red Baron’s Drug, which enables anyone to become a Baron with a count of 500,000, surpassing even the Three Grand Generals.
Firenda’s pharmaceutical advancements include Schmelman’s Drug, a serum designed to amplify Schmelman’s bloodlust, turning individuals like Licht, Mizuka, and Tokikaze into violent killers. This formula was later refined to control Red Barons, ensuring their loyalty to the Special Service. In a flashback, she was seen using a Flight Harness, similar to Mizuka’s, allowing her to travel at high speeds and forcibly retrieve Licht from the battlefield.
Her combat skills are just as formidable as her scientific achievements. As one of the primary instructors at the 13th Special Military Forces School, she was responsible for training Class C soldiers in synchronized combat techniques. Firenda is highly skilled in various melee weapons, including spears, swords, and shields, and is known to have intimidated even Licht, who feared her combat prowess. She also demonstrated proficiency in hand-to-hand combat, training Taketora, the physically strongest Red Baron, in unarmed fighting techniques. Her expertise extends to teaching skills, as she trained and prepared students at the 13th Special Military Forces School in close-quarters combat and advanced weapon handling.
In summary, Firenda is a scientific mastermind, a formidable combatant, and a skilled manipulator, making her one of the most dangerous and influential figures in Plunderer. Her ability to mimic and enhance the powers of others, combined with superhuman reflexes, elemental manipulation, and combat expertise, establishes her as one of the series’ most powerful antagonists. With her intellect, physical abilities, and scientific advancements, she remains an overwhelming force capable of shaping the fate of the world.
