Enju is one of the protagonists in Fena: Pirate Princess. He is Kaede’s elder twin brother and a member of the Seven Samurai, a group of skilled warriors who ally with Fena Houtman on her journey. Enju plays a crucial role in supporting Fena as she embarks on her quest, offering both his expertise in combat and his unwavering loyalty to the cause. Enju shares an identical appearance with his twin brother Kaede, as they are nearly indistinguishable from one another, with only subtle differences in their attire setting them apart. Enju has green-brown eyes and dirty blonde hair, and he stands at the same height as his brother.
Enju wears a dark brown helmet, which is decorated with a short metal piece positioned between two bull-like metal horns on either side. His mask, similar to Kaede’s, is not moustached but features v-shaped marks underneath the eyeholes, giving it a distinct design that complements his warrior persona.
Personality

Enju is highly skilled in both speed and agility, able to outrun Tsubaki and dodge multiple pirates with remarkable ease. His exceptional reflexes and nimble movements make him a formidable fighter, enabling him to react swiftly in high-pressure situations. In addition to his speed, Enju is a weapon specialist, proficient in various types of weaponry, including swords and naginata. This versatility allows him to adapt to different combat styles and handle various challenges effectively. Furthermore, Enju’s “Acid Reflux” ability refers to his incredibly quick reflexes, which enable him to rapidly assess an enemy’s fighting style and react accordingly. This heightened sense of awareness and responsiveness makes him a dangerous adversary, capable of countering attacks with precision and efficiency.
Etymology
The name “Enju” is derived from the kanji 槐 (enju), which refers to the Styphnolobium, a type of tree commonly known as the Japanese pagoda tree. The tree symbolizes strength, resilience, and longevity, which may reflect Enju’s character traits as a dependable and skilled fighter.
