Appearance

Enjin’s Appearance in Anime
Enjin is depicted as a tall and slender man with a lean, muscular build. He has spiky blond hair styled with a sharp fade, along with distinctive yellow eyes and white pupils that emphasize his striking appearance. His standard attire consists of a red tank top layered beneath a long greyish-white coat embroidered with the Cleaners’ emblem on the back. He pairs this with loose, utility-style trousers and durable combat boots, suited for his work in the field.
His design is further distinguished by notable accessories and markings. Enjin wears thick ear tunnels along with two hoop piercings in each ear. A scar runs across the left side of his head, suggesting a serious injury in his past. Tattoos decorate his neck and chest, adding to his imposing presence. Like other members of the Cleaners, he also wears a communication choker, an essential tool for coordinating during missions.
Personality
Enjin is characterized by a relaxed yet confident nature, often displaying a cheerful and approachable demeanor that contrasts with the seriousness of his abilities. Despite his exceptional skills, he remains humble, frequently downplaying his status by referring to himself as “just your average janitor.” This lighthearted outlook underscores his grounded personality and sets him apart from more prideful or flamboyant figures.
His sense of identity is closely tied to his name, which was given to him by someone he holds in deep regard. The name Enjin is derived from an ancient term meaning “a person who connects others,” a role he has fully embraced. Enjin takes pride in this title, not as a mark of prestige, but as a responsibility to unite people and serve as a “symbol of unity.” This belief extends to his signature umbrella, which he regards as more than a tool, it is a beacon for the lost, a striking emblem meant to guide and inspire those around him.
History
Very little is revealed about Enjin’s early life. His name was bestowed upon him by someone with whom he shared a close bond, though this person is no longer present in his life. The significance of the name profoundly shaped his sense of purpose and identity.
At an unspecified point in time, Enjin joined the Cleaners, where his abilities and leadership qualities earned him the position of leader of the Akuta faction. Since then, he has taken on the dual role of guiding his team in combat and serving as a mentor to younger members, most notably Rudo Surebrec.
Relationships
Rudo Surebrec
Enjin shares a close bond with Rudo, whom he took under his wing after Rudo’s exile to the Ground. Acting as both a mentor and older brother figure, Enjin provides Rudo with encouragement and practical advice, helping him grow into his role as a Cleaner and control his powers as a Giver. Their relationship deepens as Rudo begins to open up about his fears of being unable to change, with Enjin offering reassurance and support. This trust forms the foundation of their dynamic, with Enjin guiding Rudo not only as a fighter but also as a person.
Zanka Nijiku
As the leader of Team Akuta, Enjin works closely with Zanka and values his strength and expertise. While their personalities differ, Zanka being more abrasive and Enjin more laid-back, Enjin respects him as a dependable ally and recognizes his importance to the group.
Riyo Reaper
Enjin treats Riyo warmly, acknowledging her as a trusted member of the Cleaners. His easygoing nature makes him approachable, and he often provides her with reassurance during missions.
Amo Empool
Though their interactions are less central than with Rudo, Enjin plays a crucial role in mediating between Amo and Rudo when their relationship is strained. He helps prevent conflicts from escalating and offers guidance that fosters reconciliation between the two.
Arkha Corvus
As the leader of the Cleaners, Arkha holds authority over Enjin. Enjin respects Arkha’s leadership while also embodying the symbolic role Arkha envisions for the Cleaners. His loyalty to Arkha reflects his broader belief in unity and cooperation.
Abilities
Overall Skill Level
Enjin is portrayed as one of the most capable and experienced members of the Cleaners. As the leader of Team Akuta, he demonstrates exceptional combat skill, effortlessly destroying multiple Trash Beasts with the use of his Vital Instrument. His reputation and authority within the group highlight his strength as both a fighter and a leader.
Enhanced Speed
Enjin possesses remarkable speed, capable of eliminating several Trash Beasts in an instant. His swift movements make him a formidable opponent in close combat and allow him to dominate encounters with overwhelming efficiency.
Enhanced Strength
Enjin also exhibits great physical power. He has been shown sending Jabber Wonger crashing into a wall with tremendous force and drilling a massive hole through the body of an enormous flying Trash Beast. His strength, paired with his precision, enables him to dispatch enemies with devastating effectiveness.
Accurate Intuition
Enjin’s intuition is one of his defining traits. His sharp instincts allow him to make sound decisions even under extreme pressure, and his comrades often place full trust in his judgment. This ability was demonstrated when he successfully identified the correct path to reach the core of a gigantic Trash Beast, a choice validated by the outcome.
Social Skills
Beyond combat, Enjin shows a talent for understanding and supporting others. He helped Riyo Reaper confront her past as a hitman and guided her toward abandoning killing, encouraged Zanka Nijiku when he felt inferior to Hyo, and counseled Rudo Surebrec through his guilt over harming Amo. Despite his approachable personality, Enjin admits that he struggles to interact with Kuro, humorously describing him as a “pain in the tuchus,” a sentiment that even surprised Eishia, who otherwise admired Enjin’s interpersonal skills.
