Enji Todoroki(轟 炎司 Todoroki Enji), also known as theFlame Hero: Endeavor(フレイムヒーロー エンデヴァー Fureimu Hīrō Endevā), is a Pro Hero recognized for having resolved the most cases in history. After many years as the No. 2 Hero, Endeavor became the No. 1 Hero following the retirement of All Might. His official promotion to the top rank came after the latest Hero Billboard Chart JP announcement.

In the aftermath of the Final War, Endeavor retired from active hero work due to injuries sustained during the conflict. He decided to spend the rest of his life making amends for his past actions, particularly focusing on his family and the consequences of his past behavior.

• Original Costume:
  Enji’s original hero costume consisted of a tight, navy turquoise bodysuit, with flames flowing across his chest, shoulders, and arms. He used his fiery beard and mustache as a mask to conceal his eyes. His forearms were protected by white, cage-patterned bracers, and he wore a blue belt with pouches on either side. His boots were constantly engulfed in flames, leaving only the soles and laces visible beneath the fire.

Enji’s strained relationships with his family are rooted in his extreme ambition. He saw his other children as failures and distanced himself from them. His treatment of Rei worsened over time, leading to domestic abuse, which contributed to her mental breakdown. However, despite his severe actions, Enji wasn’t entirely devoid of concern. When he learned that his eldest son, Toya, had inherited fire powers too strong for his body to handle, Enji halted his training to protect him, but Toya’s desperate need for acknowledgment ultimately led to tragedy.

After All Might’s retirement and Enji’s forced rise to the No. 1 Hero position, he began to reflect on the cost of his ambitions. The weight of his new role and conversations with All Might made him reconsider how he treated his family. Enji sought to atone for his past, attempting to reconnect with his estranged wife and children. However, the revelation that his son Toya had become the villain Dabi left Enji devastated, realizing his actions had contributed to Toya’s downfall.

In the face of these challenges, Enji vowed to make amends. Encouraged by Shoto and supported by his family, he chose to take responsibility for his past mistakes and face them publicly, resolving to fight for the future despite the weight of his guilt. During the Final War, Enji sustained significant injuries, losing his arm and being bound to a wheelchair, which led to his retirement from hero work. He now dedicates his life to atoning for his actions and ensuring that his family’s future isn’t burdened by the mistakes of his past.

Endeavor, formerly Japan’s No. 2 Hero, rose to the top spot after All Might’s retirement. He holds the record for the most solved cases in history and became the No. 2 Hero by the age of 20. His Quirk,Hellflame, grants him the ability to generate intense fire, which he uses to overwhelm opponents, take flight through flame propulsion, and manipulate heat in various ways. Endeavor’s combat prowess is recognized throughout the hero community, and his ability to contend with top-tier villains, such as the League of Villains and powerful Nomus, demonstrates his incredible strength and skill.

Endeavor’s pain tolerance and stamina far exceed that of the average Pro Hero. Despite his body being weakened during the Paranormal Liberation War due to Quirk overuse and injuries from Tomura’s attacks, Endeavor continued fighting, even managing to land significant blows on Gigantomachia. His reflexes are sharp, allowing him to respond quickly to danger, as seen during his battle with Hood, where he countered attacks even with limited visibility.

Endeavor’s intelligence is one of his defining traits as a hero. He is highly observant and has solved the most criminal cases in history due to his sharp deductive skills. In battle, Endeavor is quick to analyze his opponents’ abilities and develop strategies to counter them. For example, he quickly identified weaknesses in Nomu’s regenerative abilities and deduced that Hood’s head was the key to defeating him. His strategic thinking extends to his leadership in battle, where he effectively directs his team to minimize damage and ensure swift victories.

One of Endeavor’s most notable traits is his relentless determination. His desire to surpass All Might drove him throughout his career, and even in the most difficult battles, he pushes past his limits. During his fight against Hood, Endeavor embraced the “Plus Ultra” spirit and overcame his physical injuries to defeat the High-End Nomu. This determination was also evident during the Paranormal Liberation War, where he continued to fight against overwhelming odds, despite Dabi’s attempts to demoralize him.

Despite his rough personality, Endeavor has proven to be an effective mentor. During Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki’s work-study at his agency, Endeavor taught them the fundamentals of hero work, focusing on awareness, speed, and minimizing collateral damage.
