Devon Hawkins, a proud father, resides in Quincy, Illinois. Situated on the banks of the Mississippi River near the Illinois-Missouri border, Quincy was formerly ranked as the eighth “Best Small City To Raise A Family.”

On January 29th, 2016, Hawkins was shot in the 800 block of Chestnut Street in Quincy just after 12:30am.

Hawkinswas taken to the hospital, treated and released very quickly.

Following the incident, Hawkins walked into the reporter’s 5am live shot who was covering his story for an interview.

In the interview, he nonchalantly spoke about the shooting and went as far as showing the reporter his wound.

Or some other stuff.

I don’t know.”

Hawkins also mentioned that his injury was just a “little petty wound—I ain’t even trippin’ though.”
