Devika Bulchandani
Devika Bulchandani, EVP, Chief Strategy Officer, McCann Worldgroup Devika Bulchandani, Executive VP, Chief Strategy Partner of McCann Erickson’s flagship New York office, has led the Strategic Planning Department since 2005.
In this capacity, she has strategic oversight for the agency’s entire client base as well as McCann’s integrated communications programs across McCann Worldgroup companies.
Her Integrated Strategy Group has a dynamic complexion with digital strategists alongside brand strategists alongside CRM specialists who work seamlessly with semioticians and communication planners.
Built into the group’s approach is a strategic system that ensures accountability.
As a member of the McCann family since 1997, Devika has been a driving force for many of the agency’s clients across a myriad of categories.
She personally leads strategic development for such high-visibility clients as Weight Watchers and Kohl’s.
Additionally, she has been responsible for the strategic planning on a global basis for the agency’s Kraft and Unilever brands and has carved out compelling space for both pre-existing brands and new product launches, including in such cluttered categories such as chewing gums, margarines, travel and technology.
Prior to joining McCann, she was a founding member of the Account Planning Group of Anderson & Lembke in New York.
Previously, she was with the Ford Foundation. Devika has won Effie Awards for Marketing Excellence and multiple 4As Jay Chiat Awards for Excellence in Strategic Planning.
She was awarded the AdColor “Innovator Award” in 2008 – an accolade sponsored by top industry associations including the AAF, ANA and 4As.
Her industry/community work includes numerous Ad Council campaigns tackling issues such as childhood and adult obesity (Small Steps) and parental viewing control (Be the Boss of your TV).
