Deon Antonio Frasier is a 17 year old resident of North Charleston, South Carolina. Deon lived at the Reserve at Ashley River Apartments, 6520 Dorchester Road in Charleston.^[1]

On August 16, 2016 Deon Antonio Frasier andMichael Dupree-Tylermurdered and robbed Chadwick Garrett after he stopped to help them pull their Dodge DurangoSUVout of a ditch.

The robbery and murder occurred at the intersection of Durant Ave. and North Jimtown Dr. at 11 p.m.

Chadwick Garrett had pulled over and offered to help the Deon andMichaelin exchange for $20.^[1]

When Chadwick asked about the $20 after pulling their Dodge Durango out of the ditch, Deon fired multiple shots at Chadwick killing him at the scene.^[1]

Garret was pronounced dead on the scene by medical officials, a spokeswoman for the Charleston County Coroner’s office said.

Deon and Michael both face murder charges in connection with the shooting.

Deone is also charged with possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

Charleston Police arrested Deon and Michael at their apartment after a brief standoff. The apartment is about 6 miles from the where the shooting took place. Records show they were booked into the Charleston County jail early Tuesday.^[1]

At the time of the murder and robbery, he was out on bail of $10,000 for possession of a stolen vehicle.

On May 31, 2016, he had been arrested for possession of less than 1 gram of cocaine or methamphetamine, as well as for possession of a stolen vehicle.^[1]
