Delia D'Orazio

Delia D’Orazio

Delia D’Orazio, born in October 1931 and passing away on February 1, 2017, was a former seamstress, mother of four, and grandmother to Travis Moore, the co-founder of Everipedia. She was born to Ernesto and Liberata in Salle, Italy.

Move to the United States

In the 1950s, Delia relocated to the United States, initially settling in New York before eventually making her home in Visalia, California. She swiftly became known in the neighborhood as “The nice Italian lady down the road.” Despite missing her family in Italy, Delia found joy in raising her four children, whom she introduced to the rich traditions of her Italian heritage. Grateful for her blessings in the United States, Delia cherished her role as a mother and neighbor.

On February 1, 2017, Delia passed away peacefully in her sleep after enduring a stroke-induced coma for several months. Her presence touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed.
