Most recently, she served as the New York-based anchor for CNN Financial News, co-anchoring Business Day, a live morning show tailored to professionals seeking comprehensive news updates before starting their workday. Additionally, she hosted Before Hours, a program offering insights into the day’s business and economic events, including updates from London on European market activity. Marchini joined CNN Financial News in 1985 and later assumed the role of Wall Street correspondent in New York in 1987. By 1989, she became the anchor for Business Day. Before her tenure at CNN, Marchini worked as ESPN’s business reporter for the network’s Business Times segment. She also contributed as a financial writer and reporter at the Bureau of National Affairs.
