Daryun and Narsus

As a veteran soldier, Daryun possesses a calm and serious demeanor, rarely allowing emotions to cloud his judgment. His exceptional skill in combat and his unshakable composure on the battlefield have earned him the title of “The Knight in Black Armor”, a testament to his formidable reputation as one of Pars’ greatest warriors.

Daryun has long black hair, which he typically ties into a low ponytail. He possesses narrow brown eyes and thick, well-defined eyebrows, giving him a stern and imposing appearance. His physique is muscular and well-built, reflecting his extensive training and battlefield experience as one of Pars’ most elite warriors.

Daryun was born into a noble military family and trained from an early age in combat and strategy. His uncle, Vahriz, was one of Pars’s most respected generals, and he played a major role in shaping Daryun’s sense of duty and honor.

Due to his exceptional skills in battle, Daryun rose quickly through the ranks, earning prestige as one of Pars’s strongest warriors.

During the Battle of Atropatene, Daryun fought alongside King Andragoras III, but due to a devastating betrayal within the Parsian army, the kingdom suffered a crushing defeat against the Lusitanians.

Realizing that Arslan was in danger, Daryun disobeyed direct orders to stay and fight, instead choosing to protect the young prince and flee the battlefield. This act of loyalty and defiance saved Arslan’s life, setting the stage for their fight to reclaim Pars.

Following their escape, Daryun and Arslan sought allies, forming the Camp of Arslan, a small but powerful resistance group dedicated to liberating Pars from Lusitanian rule.

As one of Arslan’s key commanders, Daryun leads troops into battle, executes strategic assaults, and personally fights in some of the most critical moments of the war.

Throughout the series, he defeats some of the strongest enemies, proving time and again that he is Pars’s greatest asset on the battlefield.

As Arslan’s top military commander, Daryun takes charge of battlefield strategies, training soldiers, and leading cavalry charges, securing crucial victories against Lusitanian forces.

Arslan
Daryun is Arslan’s most loyal retainer, serving him with unwavering devotion and absolute loyalty. He is extremely protective of the young prince and is willing to sacrifice his life to ensure Arslan’s safety. During the Battle of Atropatene, he single-handedly fought against Kharlan and his men in order to rescue Arslan, demonstrating his unparalleled combat skills and dedication.

Daryun believes that Arslan has the potential to become a great king and bring peace to Pars, supporting him not because of his royal status, but because of his character and ideals. Arslan, in turn, deeply trusts and values Daryun, often expressing concern for his well-being when he faces overwhelming numbers in battle.

As they travel together, Daryun’s loyalty to Arslan strengthens, evolving beyond duty into genuine personal devotion. Even after learning that Arslan is not of royal blood, Daryun remains steadfast in his allegiance, declaring that it does not matter whether Arslan is King Andragoras’s son he will support him regardless of lineage.

Narsus
Daryun and Narsus share a long-standing friendship, though their relationship is often marked by friendly rivalry and banter. Before Narsus was exiled, the two were initially opponents, but over time, they developed a strong mutual respect.

Despite their contrasting personalities, Daryun greatly values Narsus’s intelligence and strategic expertise, while Narsus respects Daryun’s prowess in battle. Their occasional disagreements do not weaken their deep bond, and they remain trusted allies in Arslan’s quest to reclaim Pars.

Vahriz
Daryun held great admiration and respect for his uncle, Vahriz, often listening to him over King Andragoras. It was Vahriz who entrusted Daryun with the duty of protecting Arslan, a responsibility he took to heart.

Upon learning of Vahriz’s death, Daryun was deeply angered and grieved, displaying his strong attachment to his uncle. Though their relationship was largely professional, with little outward affection, Daryun’s loyalty and sorrow upon Vahriz’s passing reveal the depth of their familial bond.
