Appearance

Dante Zogratis is a tall, slim, middle-aged man with green eyes, black combed-back hair, and noticeable facial hair. His most distinctive feature is a black mark running across his forehead. He also bears a large scar from his left shoulder to his right hip, inflicted by Asta using Yami’s katana.

Dante typically wears a black shirt with a high collar, a brown jacket, and a dark blue fur cape with a short white fur mantle. His black pants are tucked into knee-high black boots, and he wears two black belts around his waist, with a third belt crossing from his left shoulder to his right hip. The belt buckle bears the Spade Kingdom insignia. Dante also dons a gold crown with tall spikes and red inset jewels.

At 50% of his devil’s power, Dante grows curved horns from his temples and bat-like wings from his back. His irises change color, his pupils become vertical slits, and black markings cover parts of his body, including his mantle and chest. As he reaches 80% power, two additional horns sprout from his forehead, and a tail grows. More of his body is covered in the dark substance, including half his face. At 100% power, the substance covers most of his body, with the wings, horns, and markings becoming more pronounced. His ears become pointed, and his crown is enveloped in black, making it appear fused to his head.

In his earlier days as a soldier in the Spade Kingdom military, Dante wore the standard uniform, with no facial hair or forehead markings.

As a member of the Dark Triad, Vanica exudes an aura of confidence and power while seated on her throne. Her playful yet ruthless demeanor reflects her chaotic nature, and her mastery of Blood Magic allows her to inflict significant damage on her opponents.

Personality

Dante Zogratis is a calm and easygoing man who rarely loses his composure, even in the face of unexpected events. He is highly manipulative and will do anything to get his way. This is evident when he pushes Asta to his limits by harming Gauche.

Dante believes that evil is the true nature of humanity, considering the world dull because not enough people embrace their malice. To him, being called evil is a compliment, and he encourages others to give in to their darker emotions, seeing them as supreme human traits. He often smiles with satisfaction when others succumb to their malice, viewing it as an expression of true humanity.

Dante is also extremely possessive, as shown when he declares Vanessa Enoteca as “his woman” after being impressed by her magic, which can alter fate. He becomes enraged when Vanessa uses her magic to save Asta, showing a lack of respect for her autonomy. He similarly declares Grey as his woman upon witnessing her arcane-level magic.

Dante holds contempt for those with little mana and enjoys fighting powerful opponents, as seen in his wide smile during battles against Asta and Yami.

Battle Powers

Body Magic

Dante wields Body Magic, allowing him to manipulate his bodily tissues. This enables him to repair injuries and alter his physique at will, granting him near-invulnerability in battle. Dante can also distort his body in extreme ways, such as forming additional limbs to enhance his combat capabilities.

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant

Despite usually keeping his hands in his pockets, Dante is highly skilled in unarmed combat. He easily dominates a berserk Black Asta with his bare hands.

Master Swordsman

Dante’s swordsmanship is on par with Yami Sukehiro, making him a highly skilled and formidable swordsman in battle.

Enhanced Speed

Dante possesses incredible speed, effortlessly dodging high-speed attacks from Asta, even those designed to track magic. His mobility is further enhanced by his Gravity Magic, allowing him to weaken gravitational forces acting on him.

Enhanced Strength

Dante has immense physical strength, shown when he kicks through a magically reinforced door and breaks stone walls with ease. When combined with his Gravity Magic, his strength is amplified, as seen when he knocks a berserk Asta unconscious with a single punch.

Immense Magic Power

As a devil host, Dante has an enormous amount of magic power, which he can exert over a wide area, making him a devastating force in combat.

Rapid Regeneration

Dante’s Body Magic grants him rapid regeneration, allowing him to heal from severe injuries, including decapitation, in mere seconds. His devil’s power enhances this ability, stopping his natural aging process. After treatment from Moris Libardirt, Dante’s regeneration becomes instantaneous.

Devil-Possessed

Dante is the host of Lucifero, a high-ranking devil who grants him immense power. Dante can initially access up to 80% of Lucifero’s power, and after the first gate to the underworld opens, he can reach 100%. As he draws more power, Dante’s appearance becomes increasingly devil-like. At 50%, he can distort space to defend against attacks, and at 60%, his power nullifies Vanessa Enoteca’s Red Thread of Fate. At 80%, Dante can create Gravity Singularities, capable of destroying mountains.
