Damian is a young boy with short dark brown (sometimes blackish-brown) hair, hazel eyes, and light skin. Like his mother, his eyes are narrow and slightly drooping, with long lower lashes and short, thin eyebrows. In the anime, his hair sometimes has a greenish tint. He often wears a condescending expression. From Anya’s view, he looks more foolish, with round, wide eyes.

One of his casual outfits includes a white vest with a gold “D” emblem on the top left, worn over a light blue or dark purple long-sleeved shirt, blackish pants, and brown shoes. He still wears his striped socks with this outfit.

Because he is the son of a powerful and important man, Damian Desmond is highly respected by his classmates, which made him grow arrogant. He assumes Anya Forger has a crush on him just because she stared at him. Damian prefers to be called “Lord Damian” and gets upset when Anya looks down on him with a smug smile. He often insults and harasses her, using his limited vocabulary to express his frustration.

After Anya punches him, Damian becomes embarrassed around her. When she later apologizes with tears in her eyes, he secretly develops a crush on her but refuses to admit it, constantly denying his feelings. Despite his usual focus on status and success, Damian sometimes acts like a normal child. He enjoys spending time with his friends Ewen and Emile, even getting into a pillow fight with them when they distract him from studying.

Damian’s behavior is partly shaped by the pressure of living up to his older brother’s success as an Imperial Scholar and his father’s high expectations. He believes that becoming an Imperial Scholar himself will finally earn his father’s attention and approval. This strong desire for recognition often causes him to ignore others and push himself too hard. Even during play, he can become irritated or angry if anything threatens his chances of gaining merit.

Physical Ability: Although his strength as a child is limited, he is able to be one of the few that nearly survive to the end of the dodgeball match, despite having Bill Watkins as an opponent.

Endurance: Damian has shown to be quite tough, being able to block a shot from Bill Watkins, a kid who is much bigger than the size of an average 6-year-old.

Paradise Fist
To cope with his jealous feelings toward Anya’s new friends, Damian creates a “Paradise Fist” in a dream, with help from Ewen and Emile, as a way to understand and accept his emotions. Later, he even builds a physical version of the fist to represent his attempt at making peace with those feelings.

The name Desmond comes from the Irish Deas-Mhumhain, which means “South Munster.” It refers to a historic region in southern Ireland. The name was originally used to describe people from that area and later became a surname. In the context of Spy x Family, Desmond is the family name of one of the most powerful and influential families in Ostania.
