Born as the first child of Enji Todoroki (Endeavor) and Rei Todoroki, Toya was subjected to his father’s relentless training in pursuit of creating a perfect successor. Despite his immense potential, Toya’s body was physically unsuited to withstand the heat generated by his powerful Quirk, Cremation. Endeavor’s disregard for Toya’s well-being and eventual shift of focus to his younger siblings left Toya feeling abandoned and resentful.

Presumed dead after a tragic incident, Toya survived and adopted the villainous identity of Dabi. Scarred both physically and emotionally, he harbored a deep hatred for Endeavor and the hero society that enabled his father’s abusive behavior. Joining the League of Villains allowed Dabi to channel his anger into a larger cause, aligning himself with Shigaraki Tomura and the Paranormal Liberation Front.

Dabi is a tall, slender man with spiky black hair and pale turquoise eyes. His most distinctive feature is his extensively burned skin, which covers much of his face, neck, and body, held together with surgical staples. The scars are a result of his Quirk’s destructive impact on his body. He often wears a black jacket and pants, exuding a menacing and rebellious aura.

Dabi is cold, calculating, and vengeful, often displaying a cynical and detached demeanor. He is fiercely driven by his hatred for Endeavor and the hero society, seeing himself as a product of their flaws. Despite his ruthless nature, Dabi possesses a sharp intellect, using manipulation and strategy to achieve his goals.

Beneath his antagonistic persona, Dabi’s actions are deeply rooted in his pain and desire for recognition. His ultimate aim is not just revenge but also to expose the hypocrisy of the hero system, making him a complex and tragic character.

  Dabi initially joins the League of Villains and takes part in the Vanguard Action Squad’s attack on the U.A. Training Camp. His powerful Cremation Quirk and tactical mind make him a formidable threat, as he targets U.A. students and heroes alike.

  Dabi rises to a position of leadership as one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front. He plays a significant role in the group’s efforts to dismantle hero society, aligning himself with Shigaraki’s vision of chaos and destruction.

• Revelation of Identity
  In a pivotal moment during the Final War Arc, Dabi reveals his true identity as Toya Todoroki, shocking his family and the world.
