Appearance in Anime
Ciel Kaminari is an average-sized boy with striking green eyes featuring yellow lightning bolt patterns and spiky orange hair. Two of his bangs are shaped like lightning bolts, complementing his lime green headband. His outfit consists of a gray shirt with elbow-length sleeves and an orange stripe running down from the shoulders. Over his shirt, he wears a shoulder pack. He pairs this with black trousers patterned to resemble a turtle shell, featuring an orange stripe along the side, and gray sneakers with yellow laces and gray-and-yellow soles.
As Blader Z, Ciel dons a gray mask with a horn protruding from the right side and a black lens with a gear-shaped pattern. At the center of the lens is an orange “Z.” The mask also features a voice filter and a built-in cellphone connection to Khrome Ryugu, adding to his mysterious alter ego persona.
Background
Ciel’s journey into the world of Beyblade was shaped by his fascination with strategy and endurance-based combat. His Beyblade, Obsidian Shell 4-60D, reflects his philosophy of withstanding opponents’ attacks before launching precise counterstrikes.
After being recruited by Khrome Ryugu, Ciel takes on the mantle of Kamen Z, joining Team Pendragon to replace their previous member, Jaxon Cross. His entry into the team brings both challenges and opportunities as he works to integrate into a group with high expectations while establishing his own identity as a Blader.
Personality
Ciel is reserved, calculating, and fiercely independent. His battle style mirrors his personality, focusing on resilience and precise counterattacks. While he initially appears aloof and distant, his loyalty to those he trusts becomes evident over time.
As Kamen Z, Ciel adopts a more theatrical and confident demeanor, using the persona to mask his vulnerabilities and add psychological pressure on his opponents. Despite his calm and methodical nature, Ciel harbors a strong competitive streak and strives to prove his worth, particularly after joining Team Pendragon.
