Personality

Chloe is a positive and caring woman, highly protective of Adonis and cautious about their survival, often scolding him for reckless actions, like using a smartphone that could reveal their location. She is highly knowledgeable in magic and forbids Adonis from using it against humans prematurely, understanding his inexperience and guiding him to restraint.

She is also deeply compassionate, comforting Adonis in moments of emotional vulnerability. Chloe demonstrates immense bravery and selflessness, willing to sacrifice her life to save Adonis, even placing herself directly in harm’s way. In her past within the Witch Nation, she was regarded as kind, intelligent, and reserved about her origins. She loved stargazing and admired Adonis’ sharp memory and potential, believing him to be a prodigy under her tutelage.

History

A few years earlier, Chloe found a young Adonis on the street and decided to raise him, despite the witch nation forbidding her from teaching magic to a human child. She refused to abandon him, which led to her banishment.

In the present, while navigating an isolated area, Chloe scolds Adonis for using his smartphone, which she calls a “weird machine,” to prevent them from being tracked. When soldiers arrive, Adonis tries to protect her with magic, but Chloe stops him, saying he is too inexperienced. She handles the enemies herself, demonstrating her skill, and hugs a crying Adonis, explaining that she does not want him to fight other humans. Unexpectedly, the soldiers’ equipment releases powerful mana, but even Chloe cannot fully control it.

Holding hands, they are teleported to the Kingdom of Redia, where Emperor Goethe awaits. Adonis attempts to use magic to buy Chloe time but is restrained by guards. Chloe tries to cast a spell, but human technology cancels it. Goethe humiliates Chloe in front of the crowd and prepares to execute her. She begs for Adonis’ life instead, and Goethe obeys, shooting and ultimately executing her while Adonis screams, powerless to stop it.
