Personality

Chisato is known for her kind, sweet, and loyal nature, always offering support to Kanon and, later, to all the other members of the group. While she describes herself as friendly and approachable, Chisato admits that when she gets angry—an emotion that doesn’t come up often—she can appear rather intimidating. Despite this, her warm and bubbly demeanor makes her a beloved friend who enjoys chatting and going shopping with others.

In addition to her social side, Chisato has a keen ear for the latest news and gossip circulating around Yuigaoka High. She’s so attuned to the school’s happenings that she’s often playfully referred to as the unofficial gossip queen of the school.

Chisato has a particular fondness for anything round in shape, and her affection for Kanon’s pet, Manmaru, is especially notable—though the little pet tends to be a bit wary when Chisato visits.

Her favorite sayings, “The early bird gets the worm” and “Fortune comes in at the merry gate,” reflect her positive outlook on life, while her catchphrase, “Wissu Wissu Wissu!” (an informal greeting often used by young men in Japan), captures her cheerful and playful nature.

Chisato’s past wasn’t always so easy, though. As a child, she was shy and soft-spoken, which made her a target for bullying. Thankfully, Kanon, who was more assertive at the time, stood by her and defended her, marking the start of their close friendship.

Background

Chisato has been friends with Kanon since childhood, and her athletic spirit led her to Yuigaoka High with the goal of pursuing dance. However, after a fateful encounter with the other girls, Chisato’s focus shifted, and she decided to pursue the dream of becoming a school idol instead. Although she initially hesitated to join Liella!, believing she was better suited to supporting Kanon, her passion for school idols grew over time.

In addition to her idol aspirations, Chisato has a deep love for physical fitness. Each morning, she devotes time to long-distance running, a habit that supports her goal of maintaining her athleticism. Chisato also tried to establish a dance club at Yuigaoka, further showcasing her dedication to her passion.

Her love for cooking and fascination with round objects led her to work part-time at a takoyaki food truck, which can often be found parked at Aoyama’s “Commune” open-air food court. This job not only aligns with her interests but also provides a unique slice of her life outside of school idol activities.

Chisato’s leadership skills were recognized when she became the president of the School Idol Club in her second year. Initially part of Yuigaoka’s music program, Chisato made the decision to transfer to the general program to fully commit to Liella! and her dream of becoming a school idol.
