Chiho Sasaki is a Japanese high school student living in modern Tokyo. She comes from an ordinary family, with her father, Inspector Sasaki, working as a police officer. Chiho is introduced as a bright and energetic girl who works at MgRonald’s, where she meets Sadao Maou and quickly develops a crush on him due to his strong work ethic and kind nature.

Her involvement in the supernatural conflicts of Ente Isla begins accidentally, after being exposed to the hypnosis spell Maou cast on her father. This causes her to develop the unusual ability to hear and understand the language of Ente Isla, inadvertently drawing her into the battles and conflicts between Maou, Emi, and other otherworldly forces.

Though initially unaware of the true nature of Maou and his past, she becomes an unwavering ally, choosing to support him despite learning that he was once the feared Demon King Satan.
