Personality

Hae-In is a serious, calm, and caring woman known for her meticulous approach to her work. During raids, she patrols the boss’ lair to ensure that the mining and hauling squads remain safe from the monsters inside the dungeon. She is also highly dedicated to her swordsmanship, continuing to take kendo lessons even two years after achieving S-Rank status. Her perceptiveness is evident when she immediately senses that something about Sung Jinwoo is different after their first meeting.

Unlike most high-ranking hunters, Hae-In does not show bias or disdain toward lower-ranking hunters and treats everyone with humility and respect, regardless of their rank. However, despite her generosity and professionalism, she tends to be socially awkward outside of dungeon raiding. She has few friends and is easily flustered, as seen when she became extremely embarrassed after Jinwoo teased her about the pickaxe incident.

Abilities

Hae In is one of the strongest S Rank Hunters in Korea, with Jinwoo initially believing she could be on the same level of power as Go Gunhee. Goto Ryuji, the greatest hunter in Japan, also acknowledged her skill, considering her capable of rivaling his guild’s top hunters. Even the Ant King regarded her as the most dangerous member of the Jeju Island Raid Party, leading him to target her first. In the revised timeline, Hae In regained her original abilities and successfully defeated one of the Apostles, which greatly enhanced her strength to that of a National Level Hunter. It was also revealed that her pregnancy with Suho significantly increased her mana capacity, making her a vessel capable of containing his immense power, a situation she humorously compared to “giving birth to a dinosaur.”

Hae In possesses several extraordinary abilities that complement her immense strength. Her Mana Smell allows her to sense mana so acutely that hunters and monsters emit a foul odor to her, Jinwoo being the only exception due to his unique status as the Player of the System. Her Sword Mastery makes her highly skilled and creative in combat, while her Enhanced Strength, Speed, and Durability enable her to overpower powerful foes, move faster than most can react, and endure severe injuries. She also commands a set of special techniques: Sword Dance, which boosts her attack speed and grants her graceful, fluid movements; Sword of Light, which transforms her blade into pure light for maximum cutting power; and Quake of Provocation, where she drives her sword into the ground to generate a quake that damages all enemies within range.

Hae in & Jinwoo first meeting

Before Hae In became a hunter, she was a well-known track athlete whose career was cut short due to a severe ankle injury. After retiring from sports, she eventually awakened as a hunter and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the ninth S Rank Hunter in Korea and joining the Hunters Guild as its Vice Guild Master.

During her time in the Hunters Guild, Hae In earned the nickname “The Dancer” from her teammates because of the graceful, dance-like movements she displayed while swiftly cutting down monsters with her sword. However, she found the nickname embarrassing and eventually forbade her guild members from using it.

During her youth, Hae In participated in the preliminaries, which she won at the cost of straining her leg. Frustrated by her situation, she eventually met Sung Jinwoo. Although her memories had been erased, her mana sensitivity remained intact, allowing her to recognize Jinwoo’s scent as familiar and more fragrant than others. After Jinwoo healed her leg, she asked if they had met before. In response, Jinwoo proposed a bet that if she could win against him, he would answer her question. She agreed, and the two ended up spending much time together.

Several years later, Jinwoo and Hae In married and had a son named Sung Suho. It is implied that during their time together, Jinwoo restored her old memories. Hae In later recalled, somewhat wearily, the humorous arguments among Jinwoo’s shadows
