After forcibly awakening Staz’s latent powers at an early age, Braz realized that Staz’s body could not handle the strain. To prevent his brother from being consumed by his abilities, Braz sealed Staz’s powers by placing a bullet in his heart. Although Staz grew to resent him, believing the act was an attempt on his life, Braz’s true intention was to protect him until he matured. Despite this, Braz subjected Staz to harsh and often torturous situations, reinforcing Staz’s mistrust.

Braz emerges as one of the major antagonistic figures in Blood Lad. Residing in the Blood Estate within the Demon World’s Acropolis, he pursues his own schemes with a mixture of intellect and ruthlessness. Braz was responsible for sending Akimu to Dr. Franken’s laboratory for experimentation and was also the one who granted Liz her privilege magic.

His overarching goal is to overthrow King Wolf, who had killed the Blood siblings’ father, the former King of Acropolis. Following Akim’s rise, Braz confronted the creature only to be captured. In order to survive, Braz pledged to serve Akim, though Akim secretly implanted magic within his heart to ensure obedience, threatening to kill him if he betrayed him. Despite these restraints, Braz continues to plot in secret, carefully waiting for the right opportunity to undermine Akim’s rule and advance his own ambitions.

Braz is depicted as a vampire who appears to be in his early twenties, though his true age is uncertain. In flashbacks to Staz’s childhood, which occurred several years prior to the present story, Braz is shown with the same appearance, suggesting he has not physically aged.

He has short black hair, pale skin, and red eyes characteristic of the Blood family, along with sharp fangs and dark circles beneath his eyes. Braz is almost always seen wearing circular glasses and a distinctive red-and-black robe inherited from his father, typically paired with a dress shirt and black trousers. His refined appearance and aristocratic bearing often draw attention to his attractiveness.

Braz is portrayed as a cunning and manipulative strategist who often relies on deception to achieve his goals. Charismatic and sharp-tongued, he enjoys teasing others, a trait he particularly displays toward his younger siblings. His relationship with Staz is complex, although Staz resents him for past actions, Braz’s decisions such as sealing away Staz’s prematurely awakened powers, were motivated by a desire to protect him, even if carried out through harsh methods. While his behavior often masks his true intentions, Braz ultimately values his siblings, though he expresses this in indirect and often manipulative ways.

As a pure-blood vampire of the Blood family, Braz possesses a variety of powerful abilities, many of which stem from his mastery of blood manipulation and his noble lineage. Like his siblings, he is capable of manifesting his magic into a distinct physical form—his taking the shape of five sharp, blue swords connected at their base by a crescent moon.

Blood Stalker
Braz’s signature ability allows him to manipulate his own blood into various shapes and control it from any distance, enabling versatile offensive and defensive techniques.

Flight
Braz can use his magic to levitate and fly. However, this ability is limited by his stamina; when his energy is depleted, the physical form of his magic begins to appear.

Mind Manipulation
Another of his powers grants him the ability to influence and control the minds and actions of others, using manipulation as both a weapon and a tool.

Body Pierce
Braz can use his abilities to pierce through the body of a demon, inflicting excruciating pain and damage.

Braz’s abilities, combined with his intelligence and strategic thinking, make him one of the most formidable members of the Blood family and a significant figure in the Demon World’s power struggles.

Crystal Ball
Braz obtained a mail-order crystal ball, initially to keep watch over Staz after he ran away. He also uses it to monitor events in the Lower Demon World, making it a tool for surveillance and strategy.

Revolver
Braz occasionally wields a revolver, though he is rarely seen using it in direct combat. The weapon is notable for its specialized ammunition, including bullets capable of sealing an opponent’s powers or restoring expended magical energy.

Staz Charlie Blood
Braz’s relationship with Staz is one of the most complex in the series. As the elder brother, Braz both protects and manipulates Staz. He sealed Staz’s powers as a child to prevent them from destroying him, though Staz came to believe it was an attempt on his life. Despite the resentment this caused, Braz continues to show interest in his brother’s growth, often using harsh methods to test him.

Liz T. Blood
While Braz cares for Liz, his relationship with her is less direct compared to Staz. His constant focus on Staz often leaves Liz feeling overshadowed, contributing to her own insecurities. Nonetheless, Braz provided her with privilege magic, indicating his desire to strengthen and support her in his own way.

Akim Papladon Akim
Braz is forced into a reluctant alliance with Akim after being captured by him. Although he pledged to serve Akim, this loyalty is coerced, as Akim implanted magic into Braz’s heart as a failsafe. In reality, Braz secretly plots to overthrow Akim and reclaim power for the Blood family.

King Wolf
Braz harbors a deep hatred for King Wolf, who killed the Blood siblings’ father, the former King of Acropolis. Much of Braz’s ambition is driven by the desire to overthrow him and avenge his family.
