He is most often seen in his school uniform, consisting of a white shirt and a navy-blue jacket signifying his status as a “commoner,” paired with black trousers and black boots. His appearance draws admiration from nearly every girl at the academy, leading to the formation of the all-female “Ard Fan Club.”

In his previous life as the Demon Lord Varvatos, Ard was described as possessing an awe-inspiring and majestic figure, with long white hair.

When activating his Brave Demon mode, Ard’s black hair turns pure white, and his eyes shift to a vivid celestial red, reflecting his immense mana and aura. In this state, a chain emerges from his right arm, releasing a black aura, while his clothing transforms into a pitch-black costume.

In his previous life, Ard Meteor was known as Varvatos, an orphan abandoned in the slums alongside Olivia vel Vine. The two were taken in by Aisha, a drunkard who taught them pickpocketing and gambling.

After the Evil Gods, also called the Outer Ones, enslaved humanity, a great war began. When one of his closest companions was killed in the conflict, Varvatos resolved to change the world and avenge his friend. Becoming the first human mage, he created a magic language specifically for humanity and shared his knowledge freely. Despite his efforts to save the world by defeating the Evil Gods, many humans who had already pledged themselves to these deities saw him as a traitor.

Varvatos eventually formed a contract with Mephisto Yuu Phegor, an Evil God, who promised him he would never lose anything if he obeyed his orders. As a commander defending Central Elmenera, Varvatos fought against the rebel army led by Lydia and emerged victorious using his magic-forged sword, Wyrm Tepes.

While in disguise as Daniel Wilaski, he explored the streets to confirm humanity’s well-being. During this time, he unexpectedly met Lydia and aided her in a staged fight. Their encounter blossomed into a friendship, though Mephisto soon threatened to kill Olivia if Varvatos did not eliminate Lydia.

Taking Lydia to a quiet hill outside of town, Varvatos discussed the state of the nation with her. Lydia revealed she admired his stand against the Evil Gods and expressed her desire to fight him at full strength. During their battle, she helped him realize the truth about himself, freeing him from Mephisto’s influence. When Mephisto appeared to finish Lydia himself, both she and Varvatos defeated him together. Freed from servitude, Varvatos resolved to save the world alongside his new ally.

Over 3,000 years ago, Varvatos ruled as the strongest and wisest Demon Lord in history. However, his overwhelming power isolated him, former comrades became distant, addressing him only with formality and reverence. Yearning for genuine companionship, he chose to reincarnate as an ordinary villager to live a peaceful, connected life.

In his new life as Ard Meteor, he struggled to make friends due to his outdated worldview and mannerisms from his previous self. One day, he rescued a girl named Ireena, daughter of the Heroic Baron Weiss, from a wolf attack. She became his first true friend.

Years later, during a celebration with both families, Weiss suggested that Ard and Ireena enroll at Laville National Academy of Magic. At the academy, Ard saved his homeroom teacher, Jessica, from orcs and later participated in a mock battle against the elf Elrado, during which he reunited with his former right-hand and surrogate sister, Olivia vel Vine. Olivia began to suspect his true identity after witnessing his use of the long-lost double-casting technique.

While on an outing with Ginny and Ireena, Ard confronted members of the crime syndicate Lar El Ghoul, who were plotting to assassinate Queen Rosa of Laville. He singlehandedly dismantled their operation and killed a rampaging demon in the streets, earning the honorary title of Pentagon from the queen.

During a battle event at the colosseum, a demon horde attacked with the intent to kidnap Ireena. Amid the chaos, Jessica revealed her true form as Elzard, the ancient dragon who nearly destroyed the world after the Demon Lord’s disappearance. She abducted Ireena and took her to Laville of Sorcery. Weiss then revealed that he and Ireena carried the bloodline of the Evil Gods, making them rightful heirs to the royal family.

Ard pursued Elzard, revealing his true identity to Ireena during their battle. Ultimately, he defeated Elzard, protecting both Ireena and the kingdom.

Known as one of the three great Holy Swords in existence, Demise-Argis is a massive golden blade radiating a ghastly, destructive aura. The weapon continuously releases torrents of toxic magic, earning it the title “The Noble Treasure of Annihilation” for its capacity to eradicate enemies in all directions.

Armor of the Demon Lord
A set of powerful magical equipment forged by Ard in his past life as Demon Lord Varvatos. The armor is composed of 666 pieces and includes an overcoat black as the void, a crimson spear, and a pair of azure greaves. At the height of his power, Ard could manifest the armor effortlessly. However, in his reincarnated form, his comparatively weaker body risks having all its magical energy drained if the full armor is summoned. To mitigate this, Ard modifies the manifestation into a form more suited to his current strength.
