Did You Know?

Docy turns out that context is a key part of learning.

Androssi Zahard

Androssi Zahard (엔도르시 자하드, Endoreusi Jahad) is a Regular and one of Zahard’s Princesses in Tower of God. Known for her strength and proud attitude, she becomes an ally of Khun Aguero Agnes and a companion of Twenty-Fifth Baam during their ascent.

Although initially portrayed as arrogant and self-serving, Androssi gradually forges bonds with her teammates, displaying loyalty and resilience throughout their trials. Following the events of the Last Station, she is last seen alongside Anak Zahard, interrogating Traveller in an attempt to extract information regarding Rachel’s whereabouts.

Sure, you can say Anak is a Princess… But she’s really a fake. However, I’m a genuine Princess. One of the many Princesses in Zahard’s cabinet of display shoes.

Appearance

Androssi Zahard is depicted as an attractive young woman, befitting her status as one of Zahard’s Princesses. She has short brown hair, yellow eyes, and a distinctive small horn on the right side of her head, marking her as partially non-human.

Her standard attire includes a yellow dress adorned with two red pins, often paired with high heels, a choice of footwear that occasionally hinders her during combat. Androssi’s pale complexion is frequently remarked upon by other characters, with Ja Wangnan and Edin Dan describing her as “milky white.” Within the narrative, she is noted as one of the most popular Princesses of Zahard.

Personality

Androssi Zahard is characterized by a proud and ambitious nature, initially defined by her willingness to climb the Tower at any cost, even if it meant betraying teammates. She is self-centered, ruthless, and often disregards orders, preferring to act on her own instincts. While intelligent and resourceful, her emotions frequently outweigh her rational judgment, leading to impulsive decisions. Compared to the calculated pragmatism of Khun Aguero Agnis, her teamwork and social skills are considerably weaker.

Despite her arrogance, Androssi gradually changes after meeting Baam and his companions. Through her interactions with them, she develops a greater sense of loyalty and camaraderie, though she retains her authoritative and commanding personality. Similar to Khun, she naturally takes charge in group settings, but unlike him, her leadership is often shaped by a desire for recognition. She takes care in her appearance, wearing makeup and relishing moments in front of cameras or media, behaviors that hint at a deeper desire for affection and acknowledgment, something she lacked in her childhood after the death of her foster parents. Emile once described her as “a lonely girl who wants to love,” reflecting the vulnerability beneath her confident exterior.

Her complex feelings are further underscored by her hatred toward the Snake Charmer, who killed her foster parents, a trauma that later manifested as her Sworn Enemy on the Hidden Floor. Even so, Androssi conceals this pain beneath her outwardly domineering personality.

While she retained much of her cunning and ambition, Baam’s apparent death caused her to regress into more self-centered behavior. Nevertheless, her concern for her allies persists; upon hearing of Khun’s supposed death, she immediately resolved to pursue Viole, indicating that her loyalty, though guarded, still influences her decisions.

History

Before becoming a Princess of Zahard, Androssi was adopted into a branch family of one of the Ten Great Families. The head of this family, its sole Ranker, sought to elevate their status by producing a Princess, and thus adopted several talented young girls as potential candidates. Androssi was among those chosen.

Training within the family was harsh and competitive, with meal privileges determined by performance. The strongest candidates dined at the head of the table with lavish meals, while the weakest were relegated to simple scraps. Androssi’s early struggles left her so low-ranked that she was not even permitted a seat at the table, instead forced to eat stale bread on the floor.

Her circumstances changed when she unexpectedly defeated a much larger opponent, awakening a hidden strength within herself. Granted a seat at the table for the first time, Androssi tasted finer food and became obsessed with experiencing more. It is implied that she systematically eliminated her rivals one by one until she sat alone at the table, with every dish before her. This ruthless act symbolized both her survival and her emergence as the sole candidate to ascend as a Princess of Zahard.

Abilities

Shinsu Control
As a Princess of Zahard, Androssi demonstrates strong proficiency with Shinsu. She can use it for body reinforcement, greatly enhancing her physical capabilities. This allows her to leap great distances, move at high speeds, and react with heightened reflexes during combat.

Chiffon Sword
Androssi acquired this technique under the guidance of Princess Ha Yuri Zahard. When Baam expressed his determination to travel to the Floor of Death despite it being forbidden even to Rankers Yuri initially refused to assist, citing the weakness of Baam’s companions. However, persuaded by Baam’s persistence, she agreed to train Androssi, teaching her a specialized Shinsu technique. The result was the Chiffon Sword, a skill first revealed during Yuri’s confrontation with a Watchman on the Floor of Death. The technique is considered a weaker variant of Yuri’s own Red Velvet Sword.

Shinsu Needle
Within the Hidden Floor, Androssi discovered her unique Shinsu quality, which manifests as a Shinsu Needle shaped like a red dart with a heart-shaped tail. Using the Shinsu Reactant, borrowed from Baam after he and his team identified their Shinsu qualities, Androssi quickly mastered the ability within a day.

The Shinsu Needle was first displayed when she accompanied Baam, Beta, and Hwa Ryun to confront Rachel, where she used the technique against Hoaqin, who threatened Yeo Miseng. She later employed it again during the Last Station, supporting Baam in his battle against the Ranker Charlie. Although enhanced by Miseng’s observer, Androssi’s Shinsu Needle was ultimately blocked by Charlie’s Yellow Light Defense.

Etymology

The name Androssi (엔도르시, Endoreusi) is a transliteration from Korean, with no direct meaning revealed in the series. Fans have speculated that it may be inspired by European-sounding names, consistent with SIU’s naming style for Zahard’s Princesses.

Her family name, Zahard (자하드, Jahad), identifies her as one of the Princesses of Zahard. The title is not hereditary but granted to selected women who inherit Zahard’s power, symbolizing both prestige and obligation within the Tower.
