Alumi Numbirch (アルミ・ニウムバーチ Arumi Niumubāchi), also known by the nickname Anna the Itako III, is a fictional character in the Shaman King Flowers manga and anime series. She is the daughter of Silva, a former Patch Tribe officiant, and the last remaining member of the Patch Tribe following its destruction. Her lineage and shamanic expertise position her as a significant character in the series, and she is further distinguished as the fiancée of Asakura Hana, the son of Asakura Yoh and Anna Kyōyama.
In the Flower of Maize, Alumi plays a central role as the general manager and a Captain of Team Hao, demonstrating her leadership skills and strategic acumen. Despite her young age, her deep connection to the shamanic world and her determined personality make her a formidable force in the ongoing battles and the complex dynamics of the shamanic competition.
Personality

Appearance in Anime
Alumi Numbirch is a proud and confident individual, deeply rooted in her heritage as an Itako and openly proclaiming herself as the strongest of her generation. Her personality is characterized by arrogance and a sharp tongue, often coming across as rude, insensitive, and mocking toward others. She has a brutal honesty and a tendency to say unnecessarily cruel things, showing little concern for how her words might affect those around her. Despite these traits, Alumi possesses a kind-hearted and compassionate side, evident in her protective actions toward Morimura when she shields him from danger and her genuine appreciation for his kindness.
Alumi also exhibits some self-consciousness about her appearance, particularly regarding her body. This insecurity is highlighted in her interactions with Hana, as she reacts aggressively when he mocks her physique, delivering a kick in response to his “flat chest” comment. Her frustration escalates further when the remark is repeated, leading her to knock him out and humorously threaten to “slaughter” him if he insults her in that way again. These moments add a humorous and relatable layer to her otherwise strong-willed and assertive demeanor.
Appearance
Alumi Numbirch is characterized by her distinctive appearance, reflecting her Patch Tribe heritage. She has tanned skin and long, messy light blond hair, with a single braid adorning the left side of her face. Her signature outfit includes a black dress paired with white boots and wrist warmers, all adorned with fringe at the bottom, adding a tribal touch. A patterned red bandana tied around her head completes her look, showcasing the craftsmanship of the Patch Tribe.
While attending school, Alumi adjusts her style to fit the setting. She wears the standard school uniform, removing her bandana and pulling her hair back with a clip on the right side while maintaining the braid on the left. A subtle nod to her heritage is evident in the eagle feather she wears attached to her left wrist, hidden beneath her shirt, blending her traditional roots with a modern appearance.
History
Alumi Numbirch was born into the Patch Tribe during the Shaman Fight, the daughter of Silva, one of the Ten Patch Priests tasked with overseeing the tournament. Her life took a tragic turn when Kamogawa Yohsuke, YVS, and the Rapt attacked the Patch Village, massacring its inhabitants and leaving Alumi as the sole survivor. This horrifying act was deliberate, meant to instill fear and despair in her and serve as a warning to those who might challenge Team YVS. During the attack, Alumi witnessed Asakura Hana attempting to defend her, only to see him toyed with by Yohsuke’s YVS Cards. Hana eventually managed to kill Yohsuke before Dong Dehon and Shahon arrived to retrieve Yohsuke’s body and erase Hana’s memories of the event. Alumi was later taken in by Anna Y. Kyouyama and raised in Los Angeles, where she trained as an itako under Anna’s guidance and was later approved by her to become Hana’s fiancée.
At the age of 13, Alumi demonstrated her prowess during an attack by Asakura Yohane and Luca. She intervened to protect Hana, pulling him to safety and skillfully countering their combined Over Soul with her own abilities, using her Silver Shield and Silver Horn techniques to destroy their Over Soul. Introducing herself as Hana’s fiancée, she left Yohane and Luca to be scared away by the Hana-Gumi Waitresses. Alumi later transferred to Shinra Private School, where she continued to assert her dominance, addressing Hana as “Fiancé-Kun” and Yohane as “Eyepatch-Kun” in front of their shocked classmates. Her interactions with Hana often involved humorously harsh discipline, such as striking him when he called her a “flat chest.” Alumi proved her skills again during an attack by Luca and Ryuji, neutralizing Hana’s uncontrollable oni with a specially-designed “Goldva” bean. Throughout these encounters, Alumi maintained her sharp wit and authoritative demeanor, even as she continued to support Hana in his journey. After a particularly intense battle, she helped treat Hana’s wounds and attempted to motivate him, complaining about his despondent attitude as they reflected on their experiences.
Powers and Abilities
Alumi Numbirch possesses a wide array of abilities and skills, reflecting her heritage as a member of the Patch Tribe and her extensive training under Anna Y. Kyouyama and Asakura Anna. Her expertise in traditional Patch crafts and her role as an itako demonstrate her mastery of spiritual and shamanic arts. Alumi wields considerable furyoku and has been specifically trained by Asakura Anna to combat the oni generated by Hana’s Setsubun Mode. To aid her in these battles, she was entrusted with the shikigami pair, Zenki and Goki, as well as the 1080 prayer beads, powerful tools that amplify her abilities and provide additional spiritual support.
Alumi inherited her father Silva’s five Guardian Ghosts, the Silver Arms, which have refined themselves over five centuries to become formidable nature spirits. She wields each spirit uniquely: Silver Tail enhances her agility by being integrated into her feet, Silver Wing provides protection when worn on her head, Silver Rod is a versatile weapon, Silver Shell serves as armor, and Silver Horn is mounted on her left arm. Additionally, she utilizes Silver Shield for defense. Notably, Alumi can transform Silver Horn into a shotgun capable of firing “Goldva” beans, which are designed to purify and neutralize evil. She has also displayed the ability to perform Soul Integration, channeling spirits like Hans Meyer to operate Kanna Bismarch’s motorcycle with precision. Furthermore, Alumi employs the Cloud technique to summon copies of other people and spirits, enhancing her power in combat. During Hana’s temporary return from Hell-training, he even acted as Alumi’s Guardian Ghost during her fight with Oume Kaizou, further bolstering her already impressive capabilities.
